Computer government
The government is basically a public service that
strives to improve the quality of service from time to
time.

The government in any country in the world, a large

data administrator. Data is a very important part in the
government administration. Smooth service very
depending on the completeness of the data.

Various types of data such as demographic data, trade,

health, industry, civil servants, armed forces, etc. It
makes the government the biggest computer users.
Different types of computers are used to support the
administration of government.

Utilization of ICT (Information and
Communication Technology) in the world has
been increasingly widespread. It can be seen
from the use of ICT is not limited to the field
of trade, but also in other areas, such as
education, defense and security of the state ,
social and so on. Recently, the government
also began to implement these ICT systems.
The information system it self consists of the functions of
input, process, output, storage and communication. The
information system is used in the practice of governance
institutions in all fields of tasks and functions of the
Government which involves a series of several aspects,
among others, governmental, administrative, household
maintenance and development of the country.
Information systems in government practice is a management
information system in which there are processing the
information that is intended for the purposes of making a
decision of a government agency, and because of the
government's role with regard to the public interest then all
information systems used must meet the requirements
efficiently, effectively and economically. From concept so then
begin to apply the use of technology in information systems
of government.

This is the type -type applications that support

critical government activities directly both
operational as well as leading to the creation
of policies in the affairs of state :

State Personnel Administration Agency (BAKN)
is the body that administers the entire personnel
data. Data processing applications include:
promotion, periodic salary increases, personnel
transfers, the determination of retirement.

Computer applications used include: the field of
population (KTP), the staffing level of regional, local
taxes, housing and traffic.
3.letter of motor vehicle number (vehicle registration)
Compared with developed countries, the
development of computer applications in the
government of Indonesia has been slow.
