Why Hifenac D is Prescribed?
Hifenac D Tablet is prepared with the combination
of Aceclofenac, Paracetamol/Acetaminophen, and Serratiopeptidase;
hence the effect of Hifenac D Tablet is a combination of properties of
above composition.

Aceclofenac is prescribed for


This medication is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
prescribed for fever, pain, ankylosing spondylitis. This drug also has some
analgesic properties which are used to treat arthritis

Paracetamol/Acetaminophen is prescribed for


This medication is a non-opiate analgesic and antipyretic prescribed for
headache pain (muscle ache backache) and fever either alone or combined
with other medications.

Serratiopeptidase is prescribed for


Serrapeptase is prescribed for painful conditions as well as back pain,
degenerative arthritis, rheumatism, pathology, and fibromyalgia.

Typical usage of Aceclofenac


This drug is highly used for Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing
spondylitis, painful joints, and stiffness of the joints.

Typical usage of Paracetamol/Acetaminophen


Ear pain, fever, headache, malaise, migraine mild to moderate pain, post-
vaccine reaction short-bowel syndrome.

Typical usage of Serratiopeptidase


It is an anti-inflammatory drug agent used for conditions that involve pain and
swelling (inflammation) together with redness, laryngitis, pharyngitis, ear
infections, swelling after surgery, swelling of a vein with the formation of a
blood clot (thrombophlebitis), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) including
ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
Hifenac D Uses
Below are the dosage information for Hifenac D tablet -

Dosage of Aceclofenac
The recommended dosage of this drug for an adult is 2mg per kg not more than
200 mg a day. Therefore you should take 100 mg twice a day.

Dosage of Paracetamol/Acetaminophen
Adults: 0.5-1gm 3-6 times daily max 4gm. Children: 15mg/kg/dose or
60mg/kg/24hr divided every 6 hrs. Maximum 5 doses SOS.

Dosage of Serratiopeptidase
Adult: PO- The suggested dose is 5-10 mg three times/day.
For reducing swelling of the within of the cheek when sinus surgery: ten mg of
serrapeptase three times on the day before surgery, once in the evening after
surgery, and then three times daily for five days following surgery.

Side effects of Aceclofenac


Most of the patients have reported diarrhea, nausea, dyspepsia, abdominal
pain, dizziness, respiratory depression, cardiac failure, and rashes on the skin.
The drug should be taken properly on time and the quantity of it should not be
changed without consulting to your doctor. Most of the adverse effect of any
drug is due to its improper use.

Side effects of Paracetamol/Acetaminophen


Bronchospasm, blood dyscrasias, centribular necrosis, liver damage,
hypoglycemic, coma, hepatic necrosis, liver failure, skin rashes, GI adverse
effects.

Side effects of Serratiopeptidase


Skin rash diarrhoea, anorexia and several side effects also have been observed
in people taking serrapeptase. It’s not recommended to take the enzyme with
medications or supplements that thin the blood.
Hifenac D Use During Pregnancy
Use of Hifenac D Tablet During Pregnancy:

Hifenac-D Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.


Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are
limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be
acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
