DEFINITION:
It is a group of symptoms that
include protein in the urine, low
levels of protein in the blood,
high levels of cholesterol and
triglycerides, increased risk of
developing blood clots and
swelling
SYMPTOMS:

Intense swelling
(edema)

Weight gain
Fatigue

URETHRITIS:
DEFINITION:
It is a urinary infection
that affects the urethra
causing inflammation
and irritation of the
urethral canal.
SYMPTOMS:

IN THE WOMEN:

• Abdominal pain.
IN MEN:

• Burning pain when

urinating.

• Blood in the urine or in

the semen
CYSTITIS:
DEFINITION:
• Is the acute inflammation of
the urinary bladder, with or
without infection.
• An infection in the bladder
can be painful and
bothersome.

• Pelvic discomfort
Renal papillary necrosis:
DEFINITION:

It is a disorder of the kidneys in

which all or part of the renal
papillae die, often presents with
analgesic nephropathy

 Increase in urinary frequency

Bladder cáncer:
DEFINITION:
Bladder cancer begins when
the cells that make up the
urinary bladder begin to grow
uncontrollably and can form a
tumor.

 Abdominal pain.
 Blood in the urine.
 Fatigue.
 Painful urination
 Weightloss.
