A. PLOT
=> Normal plot; forwarding
Plot stages:
1. Exposition
=> introducing characters, setting(s), problem
From the beginning of the story,
Telling the unpleasant condition from the demand of the bearded man
The social condition of the setting
The first person point of view
2. Complication
the beginning of the conflict is when there was a man knocking on the door
interupted rhe writer and the bearded man, the writer already try his best to
gave out many reasons so the man, which is a questionner service man so he
couldnt get in the house. But then, he just came in without a permission and
asked the same thing as the bearded man asked

3. Climax
The other man came in so there are 3 guys waiting for the writer to tell a story
for them, but he said he couldnt think because of them and their weapons like
that, but the 3 men didnt buy it.
4. Falling action
When he decided to tell the story for the 3 men with ease, the story just flew
smoothly through his mouth.

5. Resolution
The 3 men listening to the story, and end up letting the writer told his story
theway he wanted to and didnt demand anything

The conflict:
external conflict (person vs person) the writer vs 3 men
Internal conflict (person vs mind) the writer vs his thought
B. Characters
The writer Main character (the protagonist): THE ROCKET
 always involved in the main conflict and its resolution
 The story itself is about him

The Bearded man The antagonist:


The one(s) who against the protagonist;
- The bearded man: threatening the writer
- The young man: didnt want to listen to the writer

 Appears only in certain plot stage
Characterization
the methods of characterization
1. Flat vs. round
it seems that all characters are flat, they keep on one/two sides
of his/her trait. There is no part telling the development of a
certain character’s personality.
2. Dynamic vs. static
all characters also static, do not change or develop since his/her
first presentation/appearing.
The writer: thoughtful, critical, realistic, creative
“The settlers wanted a dialogue. Did anyone pick up on it?

doesn’t matter if it’s about politics or economics or a parking

bearded man: demanding,
“something out of nothing is when you make something up unpatient, brutal
out of thin air, in which case it has no value. Anybody can do
that. But when it’s something out of something, that means I warned you already,” the Swede
it was really there the whole time,” interrupts me.

Young man: smart
,” the bearded guy grumbles, and
“Stop making excuses. Sit down over there, and out with it.” cocks his pistol. “It’s either a

“Let him,” the pizza guy says softly. “Give him some slack.
