 Introduction :
The Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society( SCCS ) is a non-Profit organization
founded in March 2019, dedicated to meeting the needs of families of patients
diagnosed with paediatric cancer in Sarawak irrespective or race, religion, age or
gender.The SCCS committee is made up of 100% from organizers.

Support - Through counseling sessions, home visits, support programs, youth and
family camps, and informal friendships, SCCS provides emotional and moral
support to members of its community accommodation. SCCS operates a 13
bedroom Children Cancer Centre (CCC) as a temporary living house for outstation
patients, with full provision of food and amenities. Daily shuttle services are
provided to and from the hospital financial aid. Caring for a child with cancer is
beyond the means of most of the patients their serve. To families demonstrating
financial need, SCCS provides monetary assistance.
 In additional of aspect education is SCCS holds talks and campaigns to
educate the public about cancer and the stigmas often attached to it.
Besides that, SCCS also organizes educational and fun-based craft activities
for the children to keep their minds off the treatment . Recreational
Sarawak children cancer society organizes outings, holiday camps, children
parties and other activities for children and their families to heighten the
spirit of the families.
 BACKGROUND OF THE PROGRAM

introduction :
The program is a collaboration between a member of the sarawak Children
Cancer Society and a cancer-affected child on April 29, 2019. The program is
aimed at producing healthy participants both physically and mentally. In
addition, the program also aims to train participants and members of the
independent clubs in any situation. In addition, the program also aims to expose
participants to conduct an activity or visit that will be implemented effectively. It
can also guide or stimulate the patients of cancer children.

In addition, the Program is conducted to see how these child patients continue
their daily lives either in ward or at home at a very young age. Young children
are hard-pressed to accept the pain they face because they also want to like
other children to be healthy. Therefore, the Charity Children Cancer Society
program was held so they did not give up in their lives.
 3.0 Reason of the program Organised

3.1 produce individuals who are positive in facing the

challenges of survival especially aging cancer patients.
• 3.2. Provide exposure to cancer-related children about game
techniques to fill their free time.For example, puzzle games
and colouring
• 3.3. Prepare and improve self confidence so as to adapt to
the public environment.
 4.0 Impact

• The impact of the program is giving awareness to people to

be more grateful to life and also children who are suffering
from cancer patients. Besides, Producing young leaders
amongst the members of the company capable of caliber in
organizational skills. After that, the impact of this program is
to develop moral and moral character and visionary based on
noble values based on the Rukun Negara.
 5.0 Objectifve Program

• 5.1.
Cultivate a sense of concern and helpful value in group members
against patients in children.
• 5.2.Improve interaction skills within each member of the company
and increase knowledge in communication skills with children who
are undergoing cancer-prone treatment
• 5.3 Rejoicing on child patients age 7years-12years to inspire them.
 TARGET GROUP
• Recommends a special support group for child cancer patients
established with former cancer patients, physicians, related
agencies and volunteers to help those with cancer to enjoy life
normally. In addition to efforts through the ministry's awareness
and rehabilitation campaign, I believe the support in terms of moral
confidence is also important as it contributes to the strength of
cancer-dependent children in life, children aged 18 and under have
a higher percentage of cure as they receive an easier treatment
response than adults.
• The type of cancer treatment the physicians use today's patients
are medicines, injections, surgery, radiotherapy and cancer-targeted
therapies.

 9.0 CONCLUSION

 Of pediatric cancers, little progress has been made.

 Childhood cancer is an area of oncology that has seen both remarkable progress as well
as substantial continuing challenges. While survival rates for some pediatric cancers
present a story of success, for many types
 Many cancer treatments are known to cause not only significant acute side effects, but
also lead to numerous long-term health risks and reduced quality of life. Even in cases
where the cancer is considered curable, the consequences of treatment present
substantial long-term health and psychosocial concerns for children, their families,
their communities, and our health system.
