Tanza National Trade
School
INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
 Tanza National Trade School has a large
population of 8,000 students and 344 faculty
staffs, so maintaining the record of the
student’s will prove to be difficult.
 The researchers are proposing an information
system that would greatly make the work
easier for the school and would benefit the
students and guardians and also the record
keepers.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
 Tanza National Trade School is encountering difficulty in
handling and processing records due to the large volume
of students enrolled and to the number of faculty assigned
in recording management.
 Second, Tanza National Trade School’s existing system is
through physical by the use of pen and paper and
Microsoft Word which could be easily lost by simple
mistake.
 Lastly, the unorganized management of reports, as the
file cabinet is being crowded the reports are not kept in
an organized way and often lost or damaged by the
environment.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
 The general objective of the study is to improve and develop the
Students’ Record Management System of Tanza National Trade School.

Specifically, it aimed to:

 1. identify the problems encountered by the school in their current
procedure of managing the student’s information;
 2. develop an information system that would improve the processing
of data and records;
 3. develop an information system that would help the information be
more secured and organize the management of reports;
 4. design and develop a system that will make use of Visual Basic;
and
 5. test and evaluate the system.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
 The study of Students’ Record Management
System of Tanza National Trade School will
encourage the school to improve the
information system through the use of modern
technology. This system will help the
management of the school in changing the
information of the old and present students if
needed. Also to have an easy way transaction
in giving the information of the students.

 Students’Record Management System of
Tanza National Trade School was
developed by the researchers to improve
the processing of data and records of the
school, help the information be more
secured and organize the management of
reports, design and develop a system that
will make use of Visual Basic and test and
evaluate the system.
CONCLUSION
RECOMMENDATION
The Students’ Record Management System of Tanza National Trade
School also has limitations to make the development of the system fit in
the allotted time.
To further improve the develop system, the following functions are
recommended based on the findings and conclusions made:
 1. computations of grades from Microsoft Excel;
 2. online viewing of grades and performance of students;
 3. online registration of students;
 4. attendance features for students and faculty;
 5. more advance features of searching such as gender, school year,
teacher etc. and
 6. compute all of the grades automatically
 7. student’s grade portal
