RATIONALE
• In order to fully implement gender
mainstreaming as mandated by international and
national laws, there is a strong need to assess the
status of gender mainstreaming at Ifugao State
University towards poverty alleviation,
sustainable development, and women
empowerment through a program study.
RATIONALE
• There is also a need to determine the prevalent
gender issues in the Province of Ifugao to see
how the University GAD programs could offer
technical assistance as one of its responsibilities.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
• To determine the status or level of gender
mainstreaming in the programs, projects, and
activities (PPAs) of Instruction, Research,
Extension, and Administration including Student
Services in IFSU
• To determine the common gender issues in the
Province of Ifugao, like the prevalence of gender –
based violence, sexual harassment, and RH issues in
educational institutions in the province of Ifugao,
and perceptions of people on gender equality.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
STUDY 1 OF PROJECT 1
• To collect and classify sex-disaggregated data
in all PPAs of the University that will serve as
baseline data or gender profile to address
gender gaps
• To identify and analyze gender gaps as basis
for development programs
STUDY 2 OF PROJECT 1
• To determine the level of gender
mainstreaming in instruction, research and
extension services of the University
• To identify the strengths and weaknesses of
PPAs in the identified MFOs
STUDY 3 OF PROJECT 1
• To determine the level of gender sensitivity
and responsiveness of PPAs in the
administration and governance of the
University
• To identify and analyze the gender gaps in the
identified PPAs
STUDY 4 OF PROJECT 1
• To determine the level of gender sensitivity
and responsiveness of the various student
services available in the University
• To identify and analyze gender gaps in the
student services as basis for development
programs

• To determine the status of prevalent gender
issues among educational institutions (3
levels) in the Province of Ifugao, specifically on
gender-based violence and sexual harassment
• To identify the factors leading to these gender
issues
• To determine intervention programs made by
institutions to address such issues

• To determine attitudes and practices of Ifugao
folks on gender equality
• To identify the psycho-social, cultural,
economic, political, and religious dynamics of
attitudes and practices on gender equality

• To determine the psycho-social and cultural
dimensions of sexuality among Ifugao youth
