PROBLEM AND ITS

BACKGROUND
 Statement of the Problem

This study aims to know the relationship of the

distance from the school to the income of small
business nearby Tandang Sora Integrated School,
this sought to answer the following research
question:
1. What is the description of small businesses
nearby Tandang Sora Integrated School in terms
of:
1.1 Daily Income
1.2 Estimated Number of Students
1.3 Marketed Products
2. How does the distance from the
school affect the small businesses?

3. Is there a relationship between the

distance from school to small businesses
nearby Tandang Sora Integrated
School?
 Background of the Study

Small business is an independently

owned and operated company that is
limited in size and in revenue depending
on the industry. It can also be classified
according to other methods, such as annual
revenues, shipments, sales, assets, or by
annual gross or net revenue or net profits,
the number of employees is one of the
most widely used measures.
 According to Steinberg (2012)
small businesses can be affected in
many different factors such as the
income, products, expenses, and
revenues through circumstances.
One of these is the location of the
business where the distance could
affect the customer`s choice when it
comes to buying.
 Scope and Delimitation

The main focus of this study is to know the

relationship of distance from school to the income
of small businesses nearby TandangSora
Integrated School. The said study only aims to
provide information regarding how the distance
affect the nearby small businesses within the
area of TandangSora Integrated School. The
factors to be studied are: Daily Income,
Estimated number of students, marketed products.
 This study incorporates the relationship
of distance from school to the income of
small businesses nearby TandangSora
Integrated School and is restricted to its
fundamental objective under the said
school.
 Significance of the Study

The following entities will benefit from this

study:

Small business owners. This study will

benefit the owner of small business owner. It
will give them knowledge about how the
distance of the school to the business will
affect their sales or profit.
Future Entrepreneurs. This study will benefit
future entrepreneurs. It will give them knowledge
that distance of a business from school has an
effect on their profit or sales. It can give them an
idea that will make their business successful.

Future researchers. This study will benefit the

future researcher. It will give them knowledge

profit or sales of a small businesses. The future
researchers can also use this study as a
reference to support their research.
