Jesus Antonio Carpio Matamorosa ( October
25 , 1931 - May 26 , 2010 )
Bikolan lawyer, writer, radio commentator,
teacher, former soldiers. He was director of the
National Bureau of Investigation (1986-1989). [1]
Carpio had her two years in law at UP College
of Law and finished her at the San Beda
College of Law. When he got the Bar Exam in
1962, he started the 14th.
Carpio was the first of the Army
Lieutenant and Kapitan and he actively
campaigned against
the Hukbalahap years 1950-60.
He also became a director of NBI.
Carpio died at the age of 78 in
Parkinson's disease and was buried in the
city of Naga.
Marcelino Agana Jr. was a playwright in 1958 who wrote one of
the more popular Filipino comedies that have been produced
many times through the years.New Yorker in Tondo is one of his
most well-known comedy plays. Its humor and irony are shown to
present a realistic picture of Filipino life.
