Advantages of the proposed
allocations over approved allocations
• Same quads of different cable are used for redundancy there by
wiring and change over becomes easy.
• Alternate path is provided for double line block working, IB Phone
and LC gate also.
• In Non IB sections, the Quad 2 will be used for BPAC with
redundancy.
• If new quad cable is defective, the third line is only non-functional.
• If existing quad cable is defective, the functions can be changed
over to the nominated pair in the new cable. This will reduce MTTR.
• Existing approved nomination does not cater for redundant axle
counter working for IBS.
