CHARACTERISTIC SUBJECT

There were no noteworthy differences in case of age and

gender between the two groups (p > 0.05).)
RESULT BASED ON HOUSE SCALE

According to this, it can be concluded that the rate of recovery in patients with Bell’s
palsy treated with combined prednisolone and acyclovir was much more than that of
prednisolone therapy alone(p = 0.04) and had lower sequels after treatment.
STATISTIC ANALISYS

The data were analyzed using SPSS (ver 16) through comparing the
efficacy of the two treatment regimens with Mann-Whitney and
Fisher’s exact tests. P-value less than 0.05 were considered
significant.

CRITICAL APPRASIAL
1. Validity

1. Is the allocation of patients randomly and explained in detail? yes

2. Are all outcome variables taken in the same population? No

3. Is the patient observation carried out long enough and complete? Yes

4. are all groups treated the same? No

2. Important
• This research is very important. Since the incidence rate is the same
in both sexes, it occurs at any age, and both sides of the face can be
affected with the same likelihood. Bell's palsy is uncommon in
children less than two years old and a thorough examination must be
done to find out the reason.
3. Applicability
No Assement answer
1 Does the research subject match the characteristics of the research that Yes
will be faced?

2 Can the research location setting be applied to our situation? Yes

3 Can the research results be applied to our institutions? Yes

4 Is there a similarity between the patient in the practice / institution with Yes
the results of the study?
