The basic philosophy of MOOCs is 3A’s i.e., Anytime, Anyone, Anywhere.

National Education Policy-2019
• Focus on increasing GER to 30%
Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in Higher education in India is 25.8%, which is calculated
for 18-23 years of age group. GER for male population is 26.3% and for females, it is
25.4%. For Scheduled Castes, it is 21.8% and for Scheduled Tribes, it is 15.9% as
compared to the national GER of 25.8%.
