What Seaways going to do for Sesa Goa project?

• The
Project cargo movement is a very well planned operation, everything has to be planned well in
advance.

• Right from selecting the type of ship and properly stowing it inside the ship so that damage is avoided.
In case required will charter vessel with gear appropriate to lift the OWC.

• We normally procure the GA plan of the ship before putting the cargo onboard. Precisely advising the
location of the cargo on vessel. So even if little bit of space is lost then we compensate the ship
owners.

• We will assign a super Cargo at the loading port to see all items are loaded as per plan.

• We take in to account the Lashing arrangement of the cargo onboard for countering the rolling as well
as pitching effect, advising the Master for making arrangement of additional lashing points, if required.

• We at seaways have many Master mariners so discuss all the aspects with the Master of the vessel
before cargo being loaded.

• As in the project cargo there will be various sizes of packets, so all packets lifting arrangement is
planned well in advance to reduce the time of handling and also special kinds of spreader and
slings will be arranged as required.

•Every ODC movement is very special even if many would have been moved on the same road.

• We take care of all the safety measures to be taken well in advance and getting all permits before
the arrival of the cargo.

• All discharging operation will be closely monitored by a Master Mariner.

• All road movement will be done with close co ordination.

•Proper risk assessment to be done for each stage to avoid any kind of accidents.

• Security arrangements will be done to avoid pilferage of the items.

• All permits for road movement to be taken well in advance and to be planned to avoid
interference with normal life of the population, so that unnecessary hurdles are not faced due to
agitation of the people.

Seaways / Services / Project Cargo Logistics

• As the road movement will be slow due to numerous curves and bends.

• Few electrical connections to be dismantled for the passing of ODC.

• The carriage is being planned for the most extreme case is taken in to consideration.

• The cargo to be stowed in the insured shed at Goa port after discharging from the vessel and then
will be transported to the site phase wise at the earliest.

• All items to be placed on the stools or supports safely.

• To be precise every cargo movement will be planned taking the minimum risk to avoid any
accidents.
