What is word formation?
Em qualquer língua, as palavras estão em constante transformação e por isso mesmo é importante que saibamos identificar como novas palavras são formadas. A morfologia é a área do aprendizado de uma língua que estuda a formação das palavras. Em inglês, as palavras podem sofrer três tipos principais de formação:derivação, conversão e composição.

Conversão (Conversion) – uma mesma palavra pode pertencer
a mais de uma classe gramatical. Por exemplo:
