parameters, and managing recorded data that is stored in database for historic reports.

i-enable rmf enables users to remotely monitor their IT infrastructure components. It
provides visibility, insight, isolation and faster resolution of IT Infrastructure issues. It

EXSISTING SYSTEM

The existing system of resigning is manual in 3i-infotech. As the


Employee decides to resign from company his first step was to initiate the mail
request to his manager mentioning details about the application of Resignation.
As manager approves the request of Employee, he will fill clearance
from manually along with approved copy of mail from manager and will submit
this to concern HR person.
Now HR person will take respective action on the application as per the
policies of notice period as well as for final settlement of salary and other
formalities like exit interview and feedback.
Overall this process was manual and was requiring manual intervention
for processing the Resignation application.
Disadvantage of the Existing System

•There were no Automatic systems in place to handle Resignation Process.

•Every time there was need of manual checking of employees notice period,
his dues towards company.

•It was difficult to maintain employee's comments about his reason for leaving
the job his concerns and other details which can be helpful for company for
lowering attrition rate.

•It was cumbersome to forward the application from Manager to Group Head
and then to HR Head for processing Resignation for any complex case.

•It is very time consuming process.


NEED FOR THE SYSTEM

• To make the process flow automated using PeopleSoft HRMS system.

• This will improve the Process efficiency and time as well.

• System will take care of routing of application of resignation from Employee


to respective Manager assigned to employee as well as to the Group Head,
Location HR and HR Head present in the system no need to check for the flow .
• Existing business logic can be easily modified for the separation module in
the system.
• Manager and other members of chain like HR Head, Group head get
notification for each action taken by the chain members which helps to make
process visible.

• As integration with HRMS system is already present which helps Separation
module for retrieving the notice period days and other information required for
processing the application.

• Helpful for HR Department to make attrition reports based on the data
present in the Separation Module.
•The Existing System is based on 2-tier architecture whereas the Proposed
System is based on 3-tier architecture. Hence the Proposed System will
cover the 3 essential components of the system:

1.A Client PC

Fewer resources needed for client workstation.


No client modification if database location changes.
Less code to distribute to client workstations.

2. An Application Server (Oracle AS)

One server handles many client requests. More resources available


for server Program. Reduces data traffic on the network.

3. A Database Server (Oracle Database)

resource and this minimized the cost of hiring an expert for Separation Module
project

view of their operations processes by logging on to a central data centre. Dealers

PROPOSED SYSTEM
•This module is used only for the internal purposed in 3i-Infotech .
When employee wants to resign the company.

•Employee first login in to the PeopleSoft system through the following link.
http://10.1.46.103:8040/psp/HCMSIT/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/?cmd=login

•Then Employee is login into the system with his/her User ID and Password.
They can fill the Separation Form and submit.

•After submitting the form. It will to the Manager. The Manager can approves
or pushback or decline the form. When Manager can approves the current
status of the Separation Request is Manager Approved. When Manager
Pushback the request it will goes back to the Employee. And employee can
submits the form again.

• After Manager Approval. It will to the Group Head. The Group Head can
approves or pushback or decline the form. When Group Head can approves
when Group Head approves the form, then current status of the Separation
Request is Group Head Approved. When Group Head Pushback the request it
will goes back to the Employee. And Manager can submits the form again.

 
•When Group Head approvals it will to the Location HR. The Location HR can
approves or pushback or decline the form. When Location HR can approves
the form, then current status of the Separation Request is Location HR
Approved. When Location HR Pushback the request it will goes back to the
Group Head. And Group Head can submits the form again.

•In certain cases application will go to HR Head. The HR Head can approves or
pushback or decline the form. For approval when HR Head can approves the
employee resignation, the current status of Separation Request is HR Head
Approved. When HR Head Pushback the request it will goes back to the
Location HR. And Location HR can submits the form again.

• In case of “Delay” or “No Approval” by group head latest Last Working Date
submitted by employee in Separation Request will be treated as “Last Working
Date” for farther processing, employee's mail id and PAC card will be
deactivated at end of business hours on last working date.

FEASIBILITY STUDY

FEASIBILITY STUDY:

•The research and information uncovered in the feasibility study will support
the detailed planning and reduce the research time.
•The feasibility study is the process of evaluating the deciding factors, to
check whether a proposed system is feasible or not.
•After getting the problem statement we start with the feasibility study of the
proposed system.

•There are three types of Feasibility Study:

1.Economical Feasibility:
The Separation Module is economical because:

•Existing systems can be easily migrated within a month.


•It does not require separate installations on user machines.
•No additional human resource required as the employees are
expertise in PeopleSoft HRMS and Oracle.
2.Technical Feasibility:

•The Separation Module is technically feasible because:

•Browser like internet explorer is sufficient for running entry screens.



•Supports all PeopleSoft and Oracle-Certified platforms like
Windows, Linux, Unix and more.

3.Operational feasibility:

•The system will operate when installed because it is thoroughly


tested by programmers, functional experts and users.

•All the requirements which is comes under Resigning Process are


implemented in the Separation module.

TESTING & IMPLEMENTATION
TESTING:

•The Separation Module has been tested by programmers, functional experts


and users.

•Pilot testing of the Separation Module was done at Client sites and the
problems faced during these testing have been tackled successfully.

IMPLEMENTATION:

•The implementation process of the Separation Module is a gradual process.



•The strategy being used is to implement the Separation Module for the
company requirement to handle the data of resigned Employees.
FUTURE ENCHANCEMENTS
•Every Employee in the company who wants to resign then he/she should
fill the entire details for that purpose Employee should know there notice
period.
•Separation Module provides rehire feature for the employees.

DRAWBACKS AND LIMITATONS


•If there is no internet connectivity or if there is any problem in the internet
connection then the Separation Module cannot be accessed.
CONCLUSION

•The Separation Module is designed, developed and tested successfully by me


at 3i-infotech.

•I could also see practical implementation of the phases of Software


Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in the Separation Module.

•This project has helped me in understanding the new technologies like


PeopleSoft HRMS System, PeopleSoft Application Designer, SQL* Plus and
Oracle database.

•To summarize, All the Pages Of Separation Module sub-systems, and Forms
of the Separation Module was successfully implemented by me at 3i-infotech.
