OUR VISION-To transform the lifestyle of


masses with the help of Small Savings from
uncertainty to certainty.

 LOCATION:

 As we have targeted the economically challenged people, so we were looking


for an remote place. At last, we selected Borkhat village, Sonapur as our
venue. We also have decided a date for our seminar which was on 30th
August’09

 After selecting the venue for our seminar,we have undertaken a survey based
on RANDOM SAMPLING.We did road survey,door to door survey.We targetted
one hundred families in the selected areas.On the basis of the survey we have
estimated a report,which we are trying to show with the help of a pie diagram-

On basis of our survey we can say that (i) 30% of people don’t
know about small saving. (ii) 40% of people have accounts in banks
but not interested in small savings. (iii) 30% of people wanted to
know more about small savings.
 SPONSORSHIP AND MEDIA

 At the beginning we visited various organization,


institutes for sponsorship. Some of the
organization are Vodafone, Samsung, J.B’s,
small savings, Raju dresses, Axis Bank and
others. At last we got sponsorship from small
savings and Raju dresses.

 We talked with the chief editor of The


Assam Tribune, Accounts and administrative
head of Gup-shop, News Live to cover up our
seminar. They all appreciated our cause and
agreed to provide publicity for our Seminar.
OUR EVENT

On 30th of August we have organization a seminar in


Borkhat auditorium. We have started our seminar
sharply at 2.30 ‘O’ clock in afternoon. The seminar
lasted for 2.30 hours. We have invited resource persons
like Mr. B. Borkotoki, (publicity officer, small savings),
Nareswar Saikia (Relation officer, small savings), K.K.
Sen (Faculty of Darwin School of Business), Ranjan
Baruah (coordinator of our project) Upen Baruah (Retd.
teacher and a villager of Borkhat village).

 We had a crowd of 70-80 people they are
mostly women and man including Rickshaw drivers
Thela drivers, other cultivators and small business man.
 A speech was delivered by Mr. Ranjan Baruah (coordinator of our project)in
front of the crowds,where other resource person were listening to him.(A photo

ACHIEVEMENTS:
 As per as our achievements are concerned we have achieved
our goals to some extent. We are successful from the stand
point of the responses that we have got after the seminar. At
last after question round a women, who was sixty years old
come up to the stage and showed her interest to open account
in small savings. Later on, we helped her by introducing her
with the concerned authority and at present she has an account
in small savings. After conducting a successful seminar, Mr. B.
Borkotoky (Publicity officer, Small Savings) also promised to
issue certificate for us. They also promised us that if they
organize any seminar then they will asked for our help, which
was a great pleasure for us.

CONCLUSION:
