TASK 1
Language Experience Approch (LEA)

THEME:

ANIMAL

Activities : Pets Duration : 30 minutes Objective : At the end, children should be able to pronounce and write simple word. L.S : BI 3.2.1 Hear and pronounce simple word BI 4.2.4 Write simple words in neat, legible print

Materials : flashcard, pets pictures, worksheet, real animal (cat)


Procedures : 1. Teacher asks the children sitting in a circle. 2. Then, teacher asks each children put their hands in to the cage, feel and guess what was they touch. 3. Teacher asks a few question to children E g: What animal was you touch? Where can you find this animal?

The teacher shows a few animal pictures that can

be pet (cat, dog, bird, cow) Teacher pronounce each word (bird, cat, dog, cow), followed by children. (using a flashcard and pets pictures) Then, teacher give a worksheet and asks children to do the worksheet. (write down word ;bird, cat, dog, cow at the worksheet)

Task 2 Activity 1: Simon Says

Activity 1 : Simon Says

: A group of three or more

Procedures:

1. Teacher explains how to play this game. 2. Teacher select one player as Simon and the other players must do whatever Simon Says as long as the phrase Simon Says comes before the command. 3. If Simon does not say Simon Says before command, player are not supposed to follow the command. 4. If a player does not follow a command without a Simon Says the player is out of the game. Example command Simon Says put your left leg up.

Activity 2 : Musical chair


Character : A group of children.

Procedures :

1. Teacher ask s children to form in a big circle . Explain them the rules how to play this game. 2. When the game begins, children begin walking around the lined up chair to the music. There will be a child who is assigned to control the music and stops it at random intervals. The children playing then rush to the seats. 3. The children doesnt get a chair is disqualified from the game. Another chair is then removed from play and music begin again. 4. The game continued until one person left. ( That means the winner )

Activity :story time Duration :30 minutes Focus : BI 1.0 Listening and speaking skill. Learning Standard : BI 1.7.2 Tell stories using visual props with guidance. Intergrated standard : PSE 2.2 Membina semangat sikap yang positif.

Teaching Materials : Big book,Snowwhite and the seven dwarf Topic : Read a story(1st reading) Step/Procedure : 1.Teacher tells the children that they are going to listen a story. 2.Teacher will gather the children to sit around her. 3.Teacher shows the book and introduce the title using the book cover. 4.Teacher reads the story using the story book.

Task 4 Fostering language through songs/poems/ryhmes : In your group, choose a song/poems/ryhmes to plan a lesson plan that foster English Language Development based on the theme given.

Procedures

1.Teacher puts up the animals picture cards in front of the classroom and instructs the children to look at the pictures ( e.g Look at the pictures) 2. Teacher says the animals name and instructs the children to point to the pictures.

3. Teacher introduces the song The Zoo (use the Happy Birthday tuned) ( e.g today we are going to learn to sing the song The Zoo )

Procedures;
4. Teacher reads aloud the song lyrics and asks the children to repeat. (e. g Children, repeat after me)

5. Teacher plays the song/sing the song and asks the children to listen carefully. 6. Teacher and children sing together using the song chart repeat this several times until the children can sing confidently) 7. Distributes the worksheet - asks them to write down (at least three) kinds of animals that can be seen/ found in the song chart (e.g, elephant, tiger, monkey). 8. Teacher asks the children to say the words. e.g lion, monkey, tiger, elephant. 9. Teacher and children sing the song The Zoo together.

Teaching materials : Flash card Steps/Procedure : 1.Teacher shows a picture of a cat and says cat. 2.Then, teacher will show a sentence. A cat. 3.Children need to read after teacher and repeat the sentence twice. 4.Teacher repeats step 2 and 3 until the last sentence.
