Digital Noise Reduction (DNR)
DNR reduces noise by analyzing image data. 2D-DNR compensates noise by
analyzing image data of a frame. This is less effective than 3D-DNR but suitable for
moving object.
3D-DNR suppress noise by analyzing image data of several adjacent frames. This is
more effective than 2D-DNR but not suitable for moving object. Some Panasonic
camera is equipped with motion adaptive DNR which is the combination of 2D-DNR
and 3D-DNR.

WV-CW970/CW960/CS950 come equipped with a 30x optical zoom lens. The
addition of 10x digital zoom means zoom capability up to 300x, allowing you to
zoom in on distant objects in high position, wide area surveillance applications.
Combined with high image quality, the result is a new advance in identification
capability.
Our proprietary control chip, DC brushless motor and the optimized speed
profile built into the microprocessor give you 0.065r/sec. Super Fine Pan
Control. Combined with high performance zoom, this feature enables you to
smoothly track and capture moving objects.

Auto Back Focus (ABF)
When the camera switches a picture to monochrome from color mode and/or to color
from monochrome mode, automatically adjust the CCD position to achieve the perfect
focus. Blurring caused by removing IR cut filter is eliminated, and the perfect focus is
ensured for 24 hours in night and day.
This feature also contribute to save the time and labor required to adjust focus after the
installation of cameras. Focus can be roughly set when a camera is installed, then Auto
Back Focus to be adjusted by optional controller.
WV-CW484/NW484 enable ABF with Vandal Resistant mechanism specially designed.

Privacy zones
This function can mask private area, such as house windows and entrance/exits.
Some of Panasonic CCTV camera has two options for mask color such as gray
and mosaic. In the case of PTZ dome camera, position and size of the mask
changes according to PTZ operation.

Water and Dust Resistance
Panasonic outdoor cameras are IP66 rated Water and Dust Resistant.
We have testing measure equivalent to IEC60529.

Dehumidification device
The Electric Dehumidification device reduces humidity in the camera.
A special electrolyte film dissolves humidity inside the camera into hydrogen ions
and oxygen molecules. The hydrogen ions are discharged as a vapor outside of the
camera.
This Electrolysis Dehumidification Device
keeps the humidity inside the camera low and
reduces condensation during sudden
temperature changes.

Patrol function
This function allows the camera to memorize operations done by hand, such
as pan zoom. These operations can be repeated by simply pushing a button.
This makes monitoring of a specific area very simple.

This feature automatically follows the largest movement in the image, causing the
camera to pan and tilt to keep the object in the center of the image.
Notes:
The moving object must be larger than one of the screen blocks (1/48 of screen area),
it must have 5 % comparative contrast with the background image.
Auto track covers a tilting range 0r ~ 90r. The digital flip function does not work with auto track.
Also, the pan range can be limited by using the PAN LIMIT setting.

Auto Tracking with Template Matching
The WV-CW970 Series is equipped with the Advanced Auto Track feature, which
adds a new Template Matching algorithm that compares the recorded image with
template color, shape and contrast settings. Use of templates to compare moving
objects with other characteristics of the scene enables more accurate tracking. Plus,
the operator can lock the camera onto a particular object by pressing a single button
on the optional system controller.
