Present simple
Grammatical Rules (Reglas gramaticales) Form (Forma) Para conjugar el presente simple usamos el inifinitivo para los sujetos "I", "you", "we" y "they" y para las terceras personas "he", "she" y "it", aadimos un "s" al final del verbo. Nota: Ten en cuenta que los verbos que terminen en "-o" aadimos "-es". SujetoConjugacinI, You, We, Theytalk, eat, learn, do, go...He, She, Ittalks, eats, learns, does, goes... Affirmative Sentences (Frases afirmativas) Ejemplos:
I talk. (Yo hablo.) He eats. (l come.) They learn. (Ellos aprenden.)

Estructura Sujeto + verbo principal.

Negative Sentences (Frases negativas)

Estructura Sujeto + verbo auxiliar ("to do") + auxiliar negativo ("not") + verbo principal. Ejemplos: I do not [don't] talk. (Yo no hablo.) He does not [doesn't] eat. (l no come.) They do not [don't] learn. (Ellos no aprenden.) Nota: En frases negativas, el verbo auxiliar ("to do") cambia y el verbo principal es en el infinitivo.

Interrogative Sentences (Frases interagotivas) Estructura Verbo auxiliar ("to do") + sujeto + verbo principal? Ejemplos: Do you talk? (Hablas t?) Does he eat? (Come l?) Do they learn? (Aprenden ellos?) Nota: Como en frases negativas, en frases interrogativas el verbo auxiliar ("to do") cambia y el verbo principal es en el infinitivo.

Present Progressive
Auxiliar verbal To Be I He We

El Present Progressive o Continuous se utiliza en ingls para hablar de situaciones en curso, que han empezado per aun no han llegado a su fin: Its raining (Est lloviendo). Esta forma verbal se utiliza a menudo para describir situaciones que tenemos delante de nuestros ojos o que sabemos que se estn desarollando mientras hablamos. Por lo tanto, muy amenudo el Present Progressive est acompaado por adverbios o expresiones adverbiales como now, at the moment, at present, currently etc.

1. Forma afirmativa El Present Progressive o Continuous es una forma verbal compuesta del auxiliar TO BE, conjugado en funcin del sujeto de la frase, y de la forma de participio presente del verbo principal (V+ing). I am reading the newspaper. He is having a shower. We are playing tennis.

3. Forma negativa La forma negativa del Present Progressive consiste en la forma negativa del verbo TO BE acompaada por el participio presente del verbo principal: Im not reading the newspaper. He isnt having a shower. We arent playing tennis.

2. Forma interrogativa Dado que el Present Progressive contiene el verbo TO BE como auxiliar, la forma interrogativa se obtiene invirtiendo el rden del auxiliar y del sujeto: Are you reading the newspaper? Is he having a shower? Are they playing tennins?
