Khetri Copper complex is a major part of HINDUSTHAN COPPER LIMITED a government of india enterprisese established in Nov1967 . The decision to proceed to development of KCC was taken in 1967 the project was transformed to newly construct in NOV 1967. In the khetri copper complex these are four mines as follows. 1. KHETRI 2. KOLIHAN 3. DARIBA 4. CHANMARI

The geographical location of plant of HCL is 196 Kms south west of Delhi. 180 Kms North jaipur and 80 Kms south of Jhunjhunu district Headquarter.The nearest town of the company is Singhana two Kms in north . The railway function 35 Kms of the plant at Chirawa and 90 kms of the plant Naurnol(Hariyana) and the highway is belong NH11. ALTITUDE: 370 meters above the sea level. AVERAGE RAIN FALL: 550 mms per year.

Mining:-mining

is a process which use to get the ore from earth by blasting,drilling etc. method. Mining is divided in two parts.

The ore received from mines has very small concentration of copper usually 1% so the purpose of concentrator plant is to raised concentration of copper to about 16%.concentrator plant comprises of following section. Stock pile section Crushing & scereening section Grinding Froth flotation section

The smelter plant of KCC was commissioned is NOV1974.with an installed capacity of producing 31000 MT per annum of electrolytic copper . The basic input to the smelter is different varieties of wet concentrates 16% to 30% of copper. The of fire refined copper(98.5%) is in the form of anode the process is carried out in four basic steps like drying of wet concentrates. Flash smelting to molten matt(45% cu) converting to blister copper (98.5% to 99%) fire refining and casting in the form of anodes smelter plant consist of following section .

Introduction:The anode cast in the smelter plant containing 99.5% copper sent to refinery plant for further purification to the level 99.9%the impurity contained initially in the anode consists the precious metal like gold ,silver etc which comes in the electrolyte after electrolysic and gets settled in the bottom .this settled material called the anode mud is recovered by proper means. Principle:The basic principle in the plant is the electroliest anode from smelter plant .cathode anode up of pure copper are placed alternatively in the electrolytic cell which is felled with electrolytic .after passing a suitable amount of DC to reactions take palace. At anode oxidation takes palace which causes the copper from anode to comes in to the electrolyte. At cathode reduction takes palace which cause the copper from electrolyte to deposit on to the cathode. This phenomena completly obey Faradays law of electrolysic.

In each cell there are 31 anode &32 cathode. These are connected in a cell are then connected in series. voltage of about 3 volts is maintained across each cell & a current of about 9.4 KA is passed across the cell.
