Savannah
Grassland with trees sparsely and widely spaced.
The majority of rain falls only in one season. Regular wild fires can occur as a result.
The largest Savannah is in Africa. Here are some Savannah animals there.
GRASSLAND
Ecosystem dominated by grass Has very little or no trees. Wild fires dont always kill existing trees, but do destroy an burn any seedlings, which is why trees dont grow in this environment.
DESERT
Doesnt rain much here, as a result, doesnt have much greenery or standing water.
Things that survive in the desert usually can go periods of time without water. Camels and Cacti have adaptations that allow them to go long periods without water.
The humps of camels contain fatty tissue. Having fat here attracts the heat to this part of their body and off of the rest.
Camels also have oddly shaped red blood cells that help them in dehydrated states. Their kidneys and intestines are also good at holding onto and retaining water. This results in the camels urine being thick and syrup-like The camels coat reflects Sunlight instead of absorbing it The long legs of the camel Keep it away from the scorching sand
Taiga

The taiga has coniferous forests. These trees dont lose leaves because they have needles instead and they reproduce with cones (pinecones)
Consists of bodies of water (rivers, streams) Has trees that lose their leaves Found in the United States

TUNDRA
The lowest temperature biome, the cold hinders tree growth. Located the furthest North.
Scattered trees grow, but most of the Tundra is made of shrubbery and mosses
