Final Task
Students will be asked to work in groups to prepare posters about the different topics of the Norman Conquest dealt in class and present the main facts briefly in a timeline.

The Feudal System

Function: Describing the Feudal System Grammar:

For recognition: Auxiliary verbs, verb To Be, Present Progressive, Past Progressive, Simple Past (in the affirmative form) For production: Simple Past in the affirmative form (Revision) Vocabulary: King, knights, peasants, land, landlord, barons, services, etc.
Lesson Objectives: By the end of the class, students will be able to... o Recognize different types of regular and irregular verbs o Associate pictures with the listening related to the Feudal System o Identify the affirmative form of the Simple Past Tense o Answer questions using the structure learned in this lesson.

Pre - task
In order to create a good atmosphere and to download the students affective filter, the trainees will start the class with a brainstorming activity.

Task
After the pre-task is done, the trainees will play a video for the first time. This is done in order to approach an oral text from a different perspective. Students will be asked to watch the video and take down notes...

Next, the trainees will hand out a photocopy with the listening activity. The trainees will play the video a second time. Students will be asked to follow the reading and complete the empty spaces with the correct form of the verbs that are in brackets.

Feudalism in Europe
Video Early into the Middle Ages, kings and rulers in Europe were fast beginning to lose power. Invasion from the Vikings............................................... area was made difficult to keep land, order and place. The King of England has received another letter from the King of France. This time, the Norman lords made some mischief to the king and they jumbled all the sentences in the letter. But, the lords include some sentences that are false. Students will have to write the sentences in the correct order .Then, they will have to find out the false sentences and correct them with their notes from the listening activity.
