Getting all necessary sample approvals from buyer i.e. Proto samples, fit samples, sales samples, size sets samples, and P.P. samples

MERCHANDISING
Responsible for getting initial approval, ordering bulk, getting approval for bulk fabric/trim merchandisers should work with mills, fabric sources and export houses for new developments Order enquiry securing orders booking orders Merchandising Planning and Control, Preparing and Implementing internal T & A. Ensure that deadlines are met. Booking of production capacities for each style. To conduct Pre Production Meeting. Cross check samples at the pilot run, inline and midline and keep a track of day-to-day production output based on the status given by the factory as well as the stationed QCs

MERCHANDISING
WIP on daily basis To arrange for final inspection quality checks/quality control and production supervision at the floor level merchandisers need to ensure that all buyer comments on the samples submitted prior to production i.e. proto, fit, pre-production samples are implemented in the actual product. Active involvement in all the companys activities. Ensure high level of quality, timeliness and cost effective export ensuring sustained profits and constant business growth. Motivate, Train Employee Merchandisers should perform the role of a product technologist

MERCHANDISING

Should possess following skills ..  Should be a NIFTian!!  Knowledge of IT, excel, basic economics, world trade knowledge

With buyer/buying agency for approvals Fabric/accessory suppliers Departments within the organization. (fabric, accessory, production, etc.) Vendors for embroidery, mending, contractors.

DESIGN
Develop new quality / design as per market feedback. Prepare samples according to sketches of styles. Create the most cost effective range for the coming season. High street shopping. Understand forecasts and indications by different forecasters and publications. Create different ranges as per different current buyers as well as the targeted buyers. Provide various options, versions to the designs given by the buyers during the season. Co-ordinate with fabric mills, embroiderers, printers, etc. to incorporate the latest elements in the current range.

SAMPLING Ensuring timely delivery of samples. Effectively co-ordinate with design department (new ranges). Comprehend tech pack, take good work from tailor. Managing the tailors and masters Co-ordinating with merchandisers

PATTERN MAKING

Reading - creating design detail as per buyer requirement. Making the paper pattern. Marking cutting of the sample garment.

CAD

Pattern grading and preparing markers, to ensure maximum fabric utilization, for bulk production in the factories. Releasing patterns at the earliest Designs textiles for weaving and printing supported by the drape and weave system.

SOURCING & STORE PROCESSES Getting requisition for sourcing the fabric and accessories Communication with suppliers for getting the best quality at competitive prices and placing the order. Follow up for timely delivery of goods Receiving and unloading the fabric and accessories. Quality checking of material Dyeing and printing Getting requisition from production department Issuing the material according to the requisition Managing records at every level

CUTTING Dept. Layering and cutting of the fabric Setting the pattern Cutting Making bundles of different pieces Numbering of all layers of each bundle Issuing the pieces for Stitching

CUTTING MASTER Managing the layering operation. Setting the pattern on the layers & marking. Operating the cutting machine. Managing the Bundling and numbering of pieces. Co-ordinate with production department to issue cuttings to production floor.

PRODUCTION
Receiving orders from Merchandising Dept. during Pre- Production Meeting. Understanding details of the style and variables. Production planning. Co-ordinate with fabric/accessories stores. Manage Cutting Department. Line loading. Assembly line stitching. Measurement checking of stitched garments. Alteration, if any required. Managing the production unit. Ensuring on time production and timely deliveries.

PRODUCTION

Fixing of kaaj-button and other accessories with the help of machines. Managing the production chain, quality control & packaging. Co-ordinate with the Q.A.Team (Maintain quality standards).

FINISHING

Cutting of extra threads Washing > Ironing Initial quality checking Finishing > Spotting > Mending Alteration of sequins/ embroidery or any other accessories Final checking > Ironing

PACKING Folding. Putting packing accessories like clips, tags etc. Putting folded garment into polythene. Making blister pack of packed garments. Putting blister packs into boxes. Strapping of boxes > Weighing of boxes. Handing over to the shipper.

SHIPPING Obtaining LC and Terms & Conditions. Interacting with Production & Packing Dept. for packing details and coordinating with dispatch dept. for shipment handover to forwarder. Making Packing List and other relevant documents for consignee set as mentioned in the Letter of Credit.

SHIPPING Communication with Clearing Agents. Transportation of goods along with Central Excise and Customs Documents. Negotiating shipping documents in the Bank. Co-ordination with buyers shipping dept. Attending outside works like getting GSP/Certificate of Origin.

FINANCE/ACCOUNTS
General Accounting of Sales Tax, inventory Accounting, Income Tax, Account Finalization. Timely submission of all Returns. Manage balance sheet, tax & general accounting. Look into payroll, attendance, local purchases. Maintain Import Export documentation. Responsible for controlling expense heads and ensuring adherence to budgets. Follow-up with the bank for the payment to be received for the shipped goods. Follow up for incentives, if any, to be received from RBI/other government agencies/ offices.

FINANCE/ACCOUNTS Payout for fabric/accessories. Payout for job working (embroidery, hand-work, mending etc.) Actual verification of costing. Arrange for Over Draft limits in case required. Regular Inventory monitoring. Record all the accounts; calculate profits or losses, prepare financial report.

H.R.
Responsible for Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Statutory Compliances, Orientation Training, coordinating Training & Development activities etc. Coordinate with various statutory bodies viz. Factories Inspector, P.F., Labor Welfare Dept., Environment and Safety Regulations Dept. Implement and interact with various department heads for formulation of HR policies. Payroll Management & Employee Counseling. Performance & Retention management. Issue Transfer letters, Promotion letters, Confirmation letters and Relieving orders.
