Baroda, is a city with many names. Christened as Baroda by English and Badod by Paris, it is now Vadodara - city of Banyan trees. Baroda has over come time to satisfy a rich culture heritage. A city which has engendered the spread of education, fine arts, music, literature and the spirit of traditional ethos. It encompasses architectural treasures of lavish Palaces, Havelis and Wadas built in both majestic and eclectic Indian Neo-Gothic, Renaissance, Victorian, Edwardian and the 19th century style.
Now, I would like to share some information on Vadodaras glorious past With the help of pictures.
Constructed between Year 1880 and 1890, it is built in the Indo-Saracenic Style.

Nazarbag Palace
"Nazarbaug Palace" was Gaekwad Royal Palace in the city of Vadodara, Gujarat state.Nazarbagh Palace was build in 1721. It has solid gold and silver guns, each barrel weighing over 100kg. It also has a Sheesh Mahal, a Glass Palace. This is the oldest Palace in Baroda. State Jewellery was deposited here in 1940.
Makarpura Garden
This is the former residence of Maharaja Sayajirao III when he was Yuvraj.
Hanging Bridge
Hanging Bridge on Vishwamitri River now, The Bridge does not exist anymore.
