Story
The story begins at the Arables farm, when their sow gives birth to a litter of piglets, and one of them is a runt - a weakling thus, Mr. Arable decides to kill it. But his 8-year old daughter Fern begs him for its life. He gives it to Fern as a pet afterwards, and she names the runt Wilbur.

Fern takes good care of Wilbur, and he eventually became a heap of hyperactivity. He was living a good life with Fern for a few weeks, but he is then sold to Mr. Homer Zuckerman, her uncle. And so she bids goodbye to Wilbur, but she visits him whenever she can.

Although Fern visits him at the Zuckermans' farm often, her visits suddenly start to decrease as she grows, leaving Wilbur to be lonely eventually. But in his loneliness, a small, warm and soothing voice tells him that shed be his new friend. And as he wakes up the next day, he finally meets his new friend, Charlotte A. Cavatica, a grey spider.

As he is now living in the Zuckermans barn, Wilbur soon gets to know the other animals who also dwell in the barns cellar. Later on, the old sheep tells Wilbur that his fate is to be killed and served for Christmas, and in his panic, he asks Charlotte for help.

Charlotte, being a good friend, came up with the idea of writing words using her web to describe Wilbur and make him famous, thus saving his life. First, she wrote "some pig," then "terrific," followed by "radiant," and finally "humble.

Thanks to Charlottes idea and some help from Templeton the rat, Wilbur became famous.

Soon after, Wilbur then goes to the county fair with Charlotte to compete and show off. And while the fair goes on, Charlotte slowly felt that shes almost at her limit, so she starts making her egg sac.

The fair ends with Wilbur winning for himself and Mr. Zuckerman a Bronze medal and $25 for garnering the most attention at the fair.

Finally reaching the end of her ropes, Charlotte dies as the fair ends. Saddened at the loss of his friend, Wilbur brings home with him Charlottes sac of eggs that she made earlier while at the fair.

Seasons passed, and spring eventually came. Finally, Charlotte's eggs hatched. Most of them leave by riding the breeze and live wherever the wind goes, except for three: Joy, Aranea, and Nellie, who chose to remain in the barn with Wilbur, but none of them can ever replace Charlotte in Wilburs heart. -End
