What is The Triple Bottom-Line Sustainability ?


The Triple Bottom-Line (TBL) is an accounting framework that incorporates three dimensions of performance: social, environmental and financial. The TBL dimensions are also commonly called the three Ps: people, planet and profits. Businesses, nonprofits and government entities alike can all use the TBL.

Clorox Goes Green


Clorox a company which manufactures chlorine based products and plastic bags with sales of $4.8 billion last year. During 2nd annual sustainable brands o8 conference ,Bill Morrissey ,VP of Environmental Sustainability at Clorox presented four reasons that motivates customers interest in environment:o Personal protection o Cost o Status o Altruism

Timberland: First to receive LEED certification for mall-based retail stores


Global leader in the design, engineering and marketing of premium-quality footwear. US Green Building Council awarded. 1st company to achieve LEED certification specifically for mallbased retail stores. The stores were constructed using 100 percent reclaimed lumber. According to the President and CEO of Timberland, it is committed to reducing global warming and preserving outdoor environment.

Toyota sold more than 1,80,000 Priuses in the US. In 2007. Toyota just released its Sustainability Report 2008 towards a new future for people, society and the planet. Toyota switched from environmental to sustainability reports with three theme:
