OQ Testing The purpose of OQ will be to confirm that the various mechanical system installations perform to meet the original design criteria. The procedure required the contractor to spend sufficient time along with the WYG M&E to verify the performance of systems and included:

Verification of ventilation air change rates Checking the performance of cooling systems using heat load tests Checking room temperatures Checking humidity levels where air conditioning is installed Verifying temperatures, flow rates and operating pressures of specialist systems (eg chilled water systems) Simulation of different scenarios to prove operation of BMS controls KI discus and DOP test of safety cabinets of safety cabinets Cause and Effect Testing relating to Fire Alarm Electrical Main incomer shut down/ elect standby generator 3 day Steady state running
