OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY

Increase their knowledge and expertise in relation to child protection and acquire coaching and mentoring skills on case management to social workers of DSWD, LGUs, and NGOs;

Describe existing/current DSWD programs related to child protection ;

Articulate the international and local laws on children and youth;

Describe the dynamics of children victims of abuse, exploitation and violence;

Describe the systems building approach on child protection comprised which include the social welfare system, legal and regulatory system, and social behaviour change system;

Update competencies on case management;

Theories discussed were indeed an affirmation of our work; This activity just fill in the gaps we need in terms of the child and youth sector; As CGS we need to be conscious about our actions towards our supervisee; We are face to challenge but the whole world is being challenge by this harsh realities, let us start now before it becomes too late..
