INTRODUCTION
Training and Development is also know as Human Resource Development and Learning and Development. Training is the process of altering employee behavior and attitudes in a way that increase the probability of goal attainment.

T & D encompasses three main activities: Training, Education, and Development. One of the most profitable investment. Training enables an employees to do his present job more efficiently and prepare himself for a higher level job. Training is a art of increasing a knowledge, skills, capacity of a person.

OBJECTIVES
To help the new comer to overcome his shyness. To build new employees confidence. To develop a new entrants a sense of belonging and loyalty. To foster a close relationship. To prevent false impression and negative attitude of the new employees. To give the new comers necessary information like canteen, locker room. Rest periods and leave rules etc,.

WHY TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT


No one is a perfect fit at the time of hiring and some Training and Development must take place. Planned development programs will return values to the organization in term of: 1. Increasing productivity 2. Reduce cost 3. Morale Creates greatest loyalty to the oraganization. Improves quality. Moulds employees attitudes.
