INTRODUCTION

Automated Parking Systems are designed with a purpose to reduce congestion on the roads and allow shoppers to leave their vehicles at a safe place. The multi-level parking area is fully automated and is designed to have car lifts, pallets, computerised control systems that will be operational round the clock. Once these parking lots come up, surface parking will be discouraged. The maximum retrieval time for a car will be three minutes.

SCOPE

With increasing human population and increasing vehicles on the road there is a strict need for an alternative that can help remove the congestion problem and remove the bottleneck . Multilevel Automated Parking System is the ultimate solution to the problem .

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
Components Required : Semiconductors . Motor Driver . Resistors . Flexible wires . 5V , 1A regulated power supply . Motor .

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Possible accessories for the system : Fancy cladding . Remote operated retrieval system. Fire fighting systems. Area sensor protection. Andon displays. Multi rope lifting. Free fall protection.

PARKING PROCESS

A pallet-based system will be used in parking sites with a basement for entry of cars. Once a person enters the parking lot, he will be given a ticket or card. Once he leaves his car, the lift will take the car to an empty pallet. A vacant parking space will be then identified either horizontally or vertically through computerized control system.

As the car reaches the Parking Window, the registration number is scanned, in-time is recorded and the information from the camera is relayed to the operation system. There is a display screen at the entry point of the parking site . It displays 3 information : a. Total capacity of the parking site (TOTAL). b. Total vehicles presently in the parking site (PRESENT). c. Total more vehicles that can be accomodated in the parking lot (MORE).

GETTING THE VEHICLE BACK

After the parking process, the driver gets a car park card/ smart card which is used to take the vehicle back. The computerized system will identify where the car is parked after the owner returns to the parking lot with the smart card. The car will be handed over to the owner within 3 minutes.

SECURITY SYSTEM

The automated parking system is designed to have state-of-the-art security check and car scanning technologies with improved security, safety for parking of the cars in minimum space. There are no chances of thefts as the vehicle can be retrieved only if the user has the smart card that identifies him as the owner of the vehicle and identifies the particular vehicle of the owner.

ADVANTAGES

EFFICIENCY COST EFFECTIVE SAVES TIME EASY AND COST EFFECTIVE CAR SAFETY ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY
