The language I have used on my poster immediately grabs the audience attention with the use of a rhetorical question ; Whats in it for you?. This involves language features such as a slogan as I am looking to draw in the readers. This is an example of Barthes enigma codes to engage the audience in the narrative. The Colour scheme I have used was created in order to fit around the Wembley Stadium logo. The different use of blue shades works affectively amongst the white writing as it makes my masthead stands out. Blue is a dominant colour stereotypical known for boys, but it can also be seen as reflecting the positive blue sky nature of my paper to attract a variety of audiences. The colour can also represent calmness and seriousness, as the article contains a lot of serious features which works well with the colour scheme.

The Image I have used, The Wembley Stadium, is very relevant to my newspaper as the logo clearly demonstrates an outline of this iconic building. Using my newspaper within my poster directly shows a link and how it emphasises its location of the paper, Wembley. Features such as using the Wembley Stadium arch alongside the logo works well together as I am reinforcing its importance. The Wembley arch seems to sore away into the blue sky and gives an optimistic balance to the lead story which is about teenage murder. The use of Page flap is pulling away the general image to reveal the reality of the local news. The slogan Whats in it for you? is a rhetorical question which leaves the audience keen, which works well 4/27/12 with the page flap as they are peeling the picture to find out the

The impression my poster gives to the audiences is a sense of believability as I am evidently showing the readers my paper is based on Wembley as the image and masthead both emphasise this. The composition of the poster is neatly arranged in order for the audience to understand it. I have used a long shot of the Wembley stadium in order to fit it all in so the audience are aware of the iconic building I am using. I have digitally manipulated my work by overlapping the Wembley stadium image onto my newspaper to emphasise its relevance. The first thing the audience will notice is the Wembley stadium, so immediately they will know the area my paper is serving. The size and layout of the slogan is big enough to read from a distance which is vital if I am looking to draw in more readers. The words and image fit together as I have stated that my poster is about Wembley which gives the audience the comfort of having its expectations confirmed. 4/27/12 The font is kept basic and simple in order to demonstrate seriousness and

Overall my poster works effectively as I have creatively designed the Page flap which shows the unveiling of my newspaper. This promotes my newspaper by its Brand name as written in the slogan, and also how its presented as shown on my newspaper masthead. It gives a good indication of what is inside as I have demonstrated features of Wembley by showing its iconic image of the Stadium which tells the readers my newspaper will be about news in Wembley. Because of the geographic area that my paper is serving it will be representing the local area to an audience ranging through social class categories from B-E. It represents the readers interest as the poster reveals a bad story linked to murder which shows the audience are interested in bad news which can be seen as good
