FDA

was originally began as a federal consumer protection supported by the passage of the 1906 Pure Food and Drugs Act law was approved due to the serious abuses in the consumer product marketplace. 1906 Act was approved to prohibit misbranded and adulterated food and drugs in interstate commerce.
