Why Music Compels Us
Thesis:

Music binds the human populace together in that every individual has a
connection with music in some form which comes from a biological impulse
toward music, however its value extends beyond artistic appreciation and into
fields dealing with intelligence, medical breakthroughs, language, and
emotional health; therefore I chose to study the piano in order to develop a
more comprehensive understanding of music and found that through learning
the piano, I came to learn twice as much about myself as I did about the
instrument.
