LINKIN PARK STARTED IN 1996, AND ARE AN AMERICAN ROCK GROUP THE BAND ROSE TO FAME WITH THEIR ALBUM HYBRID THEORY LINKIN PARK FIRST ALBUMS WERE ASSTABLISHED THROUGH the nu metal and

rap metal genres to a radio-friendly yet densely layered style. This made them original at the time. At first the band was unsuccessful and spilt up however by recruiting a new singer Jeff Blue they were able to create a new sound. Despite this they were unable to get a recording deal until 1999 when Jess Blue sighed them up with Warner Bros. Records. Linkin Park released Hybrid Theory on October 24, 2000. The album, which represented half a decades worth of the bands work. The image of the band is dark and original but still sticking to the wired rock world. This style follows the 1990s style that is branching out to original ideas.

PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER

THE STAR IMAGE OF LINKIN PARK IN THEIR EARLY YEARS IS DARK AND GRUNGY THIS GOES WITH THEIR METAL RAP GENRA. IN THEIR MUSIC VIDEO THERE ARE LOTS OF CLOSE UPS OF THEIR MOUTH TO SHOW THEIR ORGANIC NATURE, AND HOW REBELLIOUSE THEY ARE THEIR LYRICS SWEAR AND SHOUT AND THE PIRCESING ENFORCE THE REBELIION. THEY PLAY THEIR OWN INSTRUMENTS SHOWING THAT THEY ARE REAL MUSICIANS.

2003 WAS LINKIN PARKS YEAR OF SUCCSESS. THIS ALBUMIS VERY CLASSIC ROCK WITH SCREAMY VOCALS AND THEIR NEXT ALBUM METEORA MADE IT TO PLATANEM IN MANY COUNTRIES IN 2003.

In 2003, MTV2 named Linkin Park the sixth greatest band of the music video era and the third best of the new millennium behind Oasis and Coldplay
Billboard ranked Linkin Park No. 19 on the BEST ARTIST OF THE DECADE Meteora features a mixture of the band's previous nu metal and rapcore styles with newer innovative effects, including the induction of a shakuhachi (a Japanese flute made of bamboo) and other instruments. THIS WAS SO THAT THEY COULD BRANCH OUT AND ACHIVE A WIDER AUDIENCE. HERE THE BAND HAS CHANGED A LOT THEIR STAR IMAGE HAS BECOME MORE FOR THE TAMER AUDIENCE. And in doing this Meteora sold nearly three million.

IN THE ViDeO NUMB THEY ARE SINGING IN A CHURCH. THEY ARE ADVERTISING THEMSELVES AS MORE ADULT AS THE MAIN SINGER IS NOW WEARING GLASSES. THEY ARE PLAYING MORE INSTRUMENTS LIKE PIANO AND TURNTABLES WHICH WERE MORE MAINSTREAM THAN THE REBERLLION IMAGE THEY HAD BEFORE. THE VIDEO IS MORE INTELLECTUAL AND SO SHOWS THE BAND AS BEING SMART AND REBELLIOUS. THE LYRICS APPEAL TO A TEENAGE ANGST WHICH APPEALS TO A YOUNG AUDIENCE. THEY ESTABLISHED THEIR AUDIENCE AND AS THEY GROW SO DO THE BAND.

HOWEVER THE ALBUM STILL HAD A REBELLIOUSE EDGE THAT KEPT THEIR AUDIENCE INTRESTED WITH SONGS SUCH AS CRAWLING AND FAINT. FAINT THE VIDEO PRESENTS THEM AS THE ROCK STARS THAT THEY ARE. CRAWLIN STICKS WITH THE ROCK EMO AUDIENCE THAT ARE ALSO ATTRACTED TO THERE MUSIC. THIS ALBUM WON A LOT OF AWARDS BECAUSE OF ITS DIVERSITY

MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT
LINKIN PARK ANNOUCED THAT THEY WOULD STRAY AWAY FROM ITS PREVIOUS NU METAL SOUND THEY STAYED WITH THEIR MORE BALAD LYRICAL SONGS. THIS ALBUM WAS USED FOR THE SOUNDTRACK FOR THE TRANSFORMERS MOVIE IN 2007. NEW DIVIDE WAS THEIR NUMBER ONE HIT FOR These new songs were more lyrical, musical and meant more to the artists. The songs on the new album Shadow o0f the day. leave out all the rest. (was also in the box office hit TWILIGHT.) Bleed It Out these songs were all hits on the AMERICAN MUSIC WARDS There star image changed to become more sentimental and less rebellious more adult. Enenim look Some songs still stick with the punk rock however even those songs have a deeper meaning THE STAR IMAGE IS STILL CONCERNTRATING ON HIS ROCK LOOK HE IS ATTRACTING THE FEMALE GAZE. HIS EARINGS SHOW THAT HE STILL HAS HIS REBELLIOUS NATURE. THE OTHER BANDS THAT STICK TO THIS IMAGE OF ATTRACTING THE FEMALE GAZE IS BIFFY CLYRO.

A THOUSAND SUNS

FOUTH ALBUM RELEASED IN 2010 ON THIS ALBUM THEY ALSO WERE ON TRANSORMERS THE LATES MOVIER AND WORKED CLOSLY WITH HANS ZIMMER TO CREATE THE SOUNDTRACK IRIDESENT BY 2011 THE BAD HAS BECOME MORE MUSICAL AND SENTIMERNTAL WIUTH THEIR SONG NOT ALONE FOR THE CHARATOY WHICH SUPPORTED THE HATIE DISARSTER THE ALBUM A THOUSAND SONS WAS STILL A HUGE SUCCSESS CONCIDERING HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN IN THE MUSIC INDIUSTORY

The band was nominated for six Billboard Awards in 2011 for Top Duo or Group, Best Rock Album for A Thousand Suns, Top Rock Artist, Top Alternative Artist, Top Alternative Song for "Waiting for the End" and Top Alternative Album for A Thousand Suns, but did not win any award THE NEW ALBUM VIDEOS ARE MORE HORROR LIKE, AND RELATE TO THE GAME WORLD WITH THE NEW entertainment ASSASINS CREED.

The white contrasting with the black of the figures shows this to be less threatening to a wider audience. The white is also neutral and less intimidating. Also it gives no views on what the album is like it lets the audience decide

This album cover is similar to minuets to midnight as this is the audience that they are targeting now. Again it is neutral and gives no pre ideas about the album.
