INTRODUCTION
The objective of this paper is to provide recommendation in the development, operation and exit strategy during the whole life span of a platform by reviewing the relevant standards for design of offshore structures, structural integrity management procedures and life extension methodologies of existing aging structures, with focus on procedural gaps and limitation in design codes. A review of the relevant data and experiences of Malaysias Oil & Gas industry are presented. Development Strategy
PROBLEM STATEMENT
3. Development Strategy Data Handover Guideline From PSC Contractors And Greenfield Projects Statement Of Requirement for Design Offshore Structures
The contribution of structural failure to the total Development Strategy number of historic accidents is less than 10% based on worldwide data. Hence, historic data of failures due to wave and current loading may be somewhat underrepresented in these statistics. The safety of a structure against environmental loads, which initially 4. Integrity Strategy was acceptable, may not continue to be such in an extended lifetime. Integrity Strategy

BACKGROUND
The history of jacket structures can be traced way back to nearly 60 years ago from the first fixed offshore platform installed in year 1948 in Louisiana. As of 2010, the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico is experiencing the effect of aging platforms with the oldest facility having exceeded more than 30 years.

CONCLUDING REMARKS
A review of the relevant data and experiences of Malaysias industry is presented. This study vindicates the robustness of the structure that was designed with Pre-RP2A and subsequently proves that South East Asias environmental loadings have minimal impact to Malaysias structures.
