DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION This department is most actively engaged in obtaining Student projects in Industry. These are listed below: Projects taken and successfully completed in Industries: Texas Instruments, Blore: Seven M.Tech students doing their projects with internship of Rs. 12,000/- per month. In the area of DSP architecture, VLSITesting and Verification. Dr C P Ravikumar, Dr P Suresh, Dr. Parekji are the guides.

Object Orb: Blore: Five M.Tech students are selected for the project work With internship of Rs 5000/- per month. In the area of JAVA Script, CORBA and Health Care. Dr. Raghu Hudli and Dr. Anand Hudli are the guides. HP India, Blore: Every year both UG/PG students will do the project Sponsored from HP. We have signed MoU with them. Every student gets internship during the project work. Most of them are selected after the project work.

Tektronicx, Blore: Every year ONE student gets selected for the M.Tech project with a internship of Rs. 10,000/-. Mr Ramkumar is the guide. The student working on the Tek Oscilloscope design.

Algo India. Blore: ONE M.Tech student got selected for the project with a Internship of Rs. 10.000/- per month. Mr Darshk Vastrad is the guide. The student is working on AudioCodec. TCS, Blore: 12 students are doing M.Tech projects with a internship of Rs.10, 000/-. They are doing in different fileds like, VLSI Design, Embedded System design, JAVA and C++ for the financial projects. Mr E S Chakravathy is responsible for the projects. Every year more 100 students gets placement in TCS, Blore.

L & T Infotech, Blore: ONE M.Tech student working on the project with an Internship of Rs 10,000/- on IEEE 812 standards. Mr Shashidhar Dongre is the guide. L & T, Mysore : SIX M.Tech students are doing their M.Tech projects. Every year 5/8 students gets selected for the project Some them will be placed of completion of the project work.

Philips India Ltd. Blore: SINGED MoU: Phase I 2007 to 2010 Phase II 2010 to 2013 Three M.Tech students are doing their projects with Internship of Rs. 10,000/-. Some of them will be placed in Philips after the project work. Dr.V Shaym & Dr N Udupa are responsible for the same. Now, they are offering projects to the BE students also. D-Link India Ltd. Blore: ONE student every selected for the project work with an internship of Rs. 7,000/- per month. Mr Avadhanalu is the guide. TASMAN, Blore: Three M.Tech students doing their project work. After the project work all of them will be placed. Mr Ravi is responsible for the same.

ISRO, Blore Every year 2/3 students will be working for the M.Tech projects. Mr Rajgopal is responsible for the same. CPRI, Blore: Every year 2/4 M.Tech students will be working for their project work. Mr Murugeshan is responsible for the same. CRL, Blore: TWO students will be doing their project work on RADAR Simulation and DSP areas. Dr L Rajagopal is responsible for this interaction with college. LRDE, Blore Every year TWO M.Tech students will be doing their project work in RADAR - A using DSP. Mr Ramachandra Kollur is responsible for the collaboration with SJCE since 1987.

Indian Institute of Science, Blore: We have a very good relationship with IISc for the PG/UG projects. Projects will be done in the SJCE campus only. Bharat Electronics, Blore: BEL offers regularly M.Tech and BE projects to students on various projects on DSP, RADAR and Digital Electronics Design. Mr P Narayan, DGM responsible for the same. Indian Telephone Industries, Blore : Every year 2/3 students do their projects in Switching R&D on different topics in N/W Security, DSP and Telcom Switching area. Mr Poornaiah, CE, responsible for providing the projects.

Anlog Devices Pvt. Ltd, Blore and Hbad: Past several years our M.Tech students complete the project work in AD both in B'lore and H'bad. All them will be paid internship of Rs. 10,000/-. They work in DSP Architecture development, N/W system Design, N/W protocol design. Dr Karthik is the responsible for the projects in AD. Novell Networks, Blore: Two M.Tech students every year do the project work with internship of Rs.10,000/-. Aspire Communications, Mysore. Every year 2/3 M.Tech students do the project work with internship of Rs.5,000/-.

COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT This dept. actively involved in the following industries in UG/PG Projects: IBM B;roe: UG/PG Internship, Remote Internship Mind Tree, B'lore: Remote Internship
HP India, Blore: Every year both UG/PG students will get on going Live projects with internship. Most of the students gets placed in HP after the completion of the project. Mr Ananthraman is the responsible person for this kind of activity with the SJCE. Object Orb, India: TWO students every get selected for the M.Tech project work with internship of Rs. 5,000/- per month. All of them gets placed after their project work. Mr Raghu Hudli and Mr Anand Hudli are the main persons behind this activities.

Honywell, India: Every year 4/5 students gets the M.Tech projects with Internship of Rs 7,000/-.

TCS, Blore:
Most of the students both from UG/PG gets theproject work in TCS with stipend of Rs. 10,000/-. Most of the students who gets theproject work are selected in the campus interviews. Mr E S Chakravarthy is the responsible person behind this activity. Wipro, Blore: Most of the students both from UG/PG gets the project work. Students who gets the project work are selected in the campus interviews only.

Both PG/UG students do their project in the final year. some will be given stipend and obsorbed latter. projects will be on VoIP, N/W programming etc.

Intel, Blore: Few students from PG will get projects in the System S/W and Architecture with stipend. Some of them placed in the company itself.

DEPARTMENT OF POLYMER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY This department is also highly interactive with the polymer based industry in its environment as could be seen below: GE, B'lore * The scientists of GE were involved in developing curriculum for Mtech in PS&T * Every year 3 to 4 engineers are deputed for Mtech from this organization * 1 to 2 Internship for Mtech projects are provided every year. JK Tyres, Mysore * The department of PST has excellent relationship with JK tyres * Every year 3 to 4 engineers are deputed for Mtech from this organization * 1 to 2 UG projects and Industrial training are provided every year. * The industry helps the department by way of gifting special raw materials to conduct laboratories which are not available in open market.

C F T RI, Mysore Many scientists are associated with the research projects in Biodegradable packaging material from microbial sources and their characterization. Dr Siddaramaiah, is closely associated with many projects from CFTRI. GTRE/DRDO Lab, Bangalore The project under taken in the area of Polymeric Materials for Rapid Prototyping - selective inhibition sintering. Dr G.M Shashidhara, is closely associated with GTRE B'lore and NPOL Cochin Scientists DRDO has funded Rs 16 Lakhs for the above said project Project is in progress.

CPRI, Blore Polymer composites for Electronic applications- Collaboration with CPRI, B'lore Dr Siddaramaiah dept of PS&T and Dr R.D Sudhakar Samuel dept of E&C, were closely associated. Project status- Completed J S S College of Pharamacy, Mysore Formulation and invitro evaluation of PVA/ chitosan blend films for drug delivery.

Mysore Polymers Ltd. Mysore Development of a procedure to accept raw materials(Rubber related) for consistency in quality usig DSC. Schneider Electric, B'lore * Signing of MoU in the area of power engineering and Polymer materials is in progress. * Already two rounds of prelimanary discussions are over Invited Lectures In association with Indian rubber Institute(IRI), Karnataka Branch, a monthly technical talk by experts in the area of Rubber technology is arranged . This will be attended by people from industry and PST staff and students.
