Anne Gaelan studied writing at Lancaster Adult College, where she won the prize for story-writing, at the Arvon Foundation on a screen-writing course (where her group won best film and she won a prize for best supporting actress!) and on a writing for children course with Alan Durant in northern France.
She has studied film production at Raindance.
She has attended the Acting for Camera course at the Acting for Camera School in Brighton with Steve North and Aaron Schwartz.

Short Films: Adieu with Love and Through the Dating Website, (shown at the Made in Lancaster Festival in 2011).
Full-Length Screenplays: Unspoken Commandment set just after the fall of the Berlin wall and Love, Lies and a Capuchin, set just before the French Revolution.
Plays: Unspoken Commandment, (short-listed for a national writing competition called 'The Play's the Thing' in 2006)
The Hand of Chance - staged in Manchester by Three Minute Theatre in April 2013.
Monologues: Out of Darkness: Titanic survivor Harold Bride fights for life after his dramatic last-minute rescue from an up-turned lifeboat.
Love, Loss and Labour: Schubert's first love Therese Grob recounts the start of their love affair and why it had to end.
Anne Gaelan is also a published poet and a composer and lyricist. Her poems have been in 'The Poetry of Surrender', 'Quantum Leap' and 'Poetic Voices', a U.S. publication. She has written her own songs and lyrics including her own Christmas carol.
She plays and teaches the flute, Chinese flute, piano and keyboard and is a fully qualified musical theatre and singing teacher. She teaches young people musical theatre at a local dance school.
She has worked on the professional stage as an actress and was in the musical Ah Men! by Angels Force in 2013.
She likes to take young people she teaches into the community to gain a sense of audience contact.
As far as hobbies are concerned Anne Gaelan is passionate about cooking and just loves food. She has been on cookery courses and has a special liking for Mediterranean, French, English and Polish cuisine.
She has lived in Poland where she worked as a language teacher and editor for a publishing company Wiedza Powschechna. While in Poland, she travelled to Hungary and the Czech Republic.
She adores horror films and anything spooky. In music she loves classical music, musicals, blues and jazz. In theatre she is passionate about classical verse speaking.ver menos
