Starting in 2007, he began attending Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, graduating in 2010. While a high school student, Mr. Sayeed made the honor roll four times and won the 2009 Prairie State Achievement Award due to his excellent academic performance. Mr. Sayeed also obtained a third-place trophy for his entry in the 36th Annual Chicago Regional Bridge Building Contest. During the summer between high school and college, Raihan Sayeed took a communications course at Moraine Valley Community College, in which he earned an A. While in high school, Raihan Sayeed engaged in several extracurricular activities. As Vice President of his school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter, he performed as the Lincoln-Way School District delegate to the state FBLA Conference in March 2010. Two months earlier, he received a certificate of merit and second place at a FBLA marketing competition. Serving Lincoln-Way East High School as a Student Ambassador allowed Raihan Sayeed to introduce transfer students to the school. And as a member of the local Key Club, he united the school and community by improving the relationship between the two groups through events and fundraisers. Athletically inclined, Mr. Sayeed played varsity tennis and basketball and junior varsity tennis and golf. During this period, Raihan Sayeed volunteered for Vital Home and Health Care, Inc., a healthcare company. He also contributed his services to the SUFFAH Educational and Guidance Center, teaching English as a Second Language students, and to Indian Muslim Relief & Charities (IMRC), spreading information to promote the group and its upcoming events. Concerned for people internationally, Mr. Sayeed traveled to India every year for six years to assist Crescent High School. Through the Al-Kareem Welfare Society, Raihan Sayeed also returned to India in order to serve on the team of mobile doctors who provide free medical care to villagers in rural India. In 2010, Raihan Sayeed enrolled at Loyola University Chicago with plans to major in business and pre-med. Now in his first year, Raihan Sayeed aids the student body as a Senator for the school’s Unified Student Government Association (USGA).ver menos
