HEPATITE B - INTERPRETAO DE TESTES SOROLGICOS

O diagnstico sorolgico da hepatite B envolve a avaliao de antgenos e anticorpos. Por meio

da combinao destes marcadores, possvel determinar as diferentes fases da infeco e se o
paciente est imune ou susceptvel.

Infeco aguda

Antgeno de superfcie da Hepatite B (HBsAg): Protena da superfcie do vrus B; pode ser detectado em
altas concentraes sricas durante a infeco aguda e crnica. A presena do HBsAg indica que a
pessoa infectada pelo vrus B.
Anticorpo contra o antgeno de superfcie da Hepatite B (anti-HBs): A presena do anti-HBs
geralmente interpretada como recuperao e imunidade ao vrus B. Anti-HBs tambm detectado em
pessoas imunizadas contra o vrus B por meio de vacina.
Anticorpos totais contra o core (ncleo) do vrus da Hepatite B (anti-HBc): Surge no incio dos
sintomas na hepatite B aguda e persiste por toda a vida. A presena do anti-HBc indica infeco pelo
vrus B, atual ou prvia.
Anticorpo IgM contra o core (ncleo) do vrus da Hepatite B (anti-HBc IgM): Positividade indica
infeco recente pelo vrus B (6 meses). Sua presena indica infeco aguda ou flare.
