Vive em matas bem preservadas e capoeiras vi
zinhas, em grupos com at seis aves, caminhando pelos
galhos ou dando voos curtos. Alimenta-se de frutos
silvestres e insetos. O ninho feito no alto das rvores.
Os filhotes j nascem capazes de seguir os pais
por todo lado.
Comum no passado, a maior parte de seu ambiente
foi desmatada nos ltimos sculos e hoje s existe em
reas protegidas. Alm do desmatamento, ameaada
pela caa intensa.
Particularidades da espcie nas serras do Mar e Pa
ranapiacaba Pode ser vista em palmiteiros, beira
de estradas em unidades de conservao. Os parques
Intervales, Carlos Botelho, Turstico do Alto do Ribeira
e Ilhabela so os principais redutos da espcie. Na
Serra do Mar talvez faa migraes altitudinais, isto ,
subindo e descendo a serra, seguindo a frutificao
de certas plantas.

This species lives in well-preserved forest and
nearby brushland in groups of up to six, which will
spend most of the time walking among the branches
or flying in short bursts. It eats wild fruit and insects.
