Quantificadores

Eis Uma Dica

Quantificadores nos permitem falar sobre pequenas e grandes quantidades de substantivos.
Para falar de grandes quantidades de substantivos, podemos usar "lots of" ou "a lot of".
Ambos são usados para substantivos contáveis e incontáveis, sendo portanto
intercambiáveis.

There are lots of good bars in town. (Há muitos bares bons na cidade.)

There's a lot of fruit in the kitchen. (Há muitas frutas na cozinha.)

There's lots of chocolate. (Há muito chocolate.)

Para falar sobre pequenas quantidades de substantivos contáveis, usamos "not many". Para
falar sobre pequenas quantidades de substantivos incontáveis, usamos "not much". Eles não
são intercambiáveis.

There aren't many shops in town. (Não há muitas lojas na cidade.)

There isn't much pasta. (Não há muita massa.)

Também podemos usar quantificadores ao fazer perguntas sobre quantidades. Para fazer
isso, usamos "how many" com substantivos contáveis e "how much" com substantivos
incontáveis.

How much cheese is there? (Quanto queijo tem?)

How many bars are there in town? (Há quantos bares na cidade?)

How much juice do we have? (Quanto suco nós temos?)

How many vegetables do you want? (Quantos legumes você quer?)
