Hoje vou falar sobre esta marca a “PINKO”, mas de uma coleção em específico.
Foi criada em 1980 pelo casal Pietro Negra e Cristina Rubini, a Pinko é conhecida por
ter uma identidade bem definida e bastante minimalista Esta coleção de que vou
falar foi lançada em 2021.
Patrick McDowell em colaboração com a diretora criativa Caterina Negra da marca
Pinko uma marca italiana, criou esta coleção, utilizando arquivos da marca, ou seja,
peças antigas para criar designs reciclados, dando uma nova vida as coleções
anteriores e reaproveitando uma seleção de tecidos de ganga e tafetá, que é uma
espécie de cetim, para rejuvenescer o estilo da marca.
Esta coleção foi inspirada nos anos 2000, com um aceno para a celebração e a
esperança otimista do novo milénio, Patrick recorda a época em que as redes sociais
ainda estavam no início. Os smartphones e a tecnologia portátil entraram nas nossas
vidas diárias e personalidades icónicas tornaram-se virais em várias plataformas de
media. Essa celebração e esperança por algo novo também soa atualmente, enquanto
o mundo reabre.
Caterina menciona que é sempre bom colaborar com Patrick pois assim que ele chega
ao atelier é uma máquina criativa, que eles partilham ideias, inspirações e visões
artísticas pessoais. E diz também que ele tem uma capacidade incrível de
transformar conversas em peças magnificas. E que acha incrível o facto de ele criar
sempre algo sustentável alinhado com o ADN da marca.
Acho incrível o contraste ousado de jeans com o tafetá que cria volumes, e a
utilização das cores e proporções forte orna toda muito bem. O sonho de qualquer
estilista é ver que as suas roupas combinam facilmente com qualquer coisa.

Uma das minhas peças/tecidos favoritos é definitivamente a ganga, é muito versátil.

Por isso é que esta coleção me encantou tanto. Já fiz alguns esboços, para reutilizar
as calcas de ganga que tenho em casa, e em breve irei coloca-las em prática. Esta
saia consiste em cortar diversos pedaços de ganga de cores diferentes e fazer uma
junção deles para criar a saia, meio como um puzzle.
Ate já fiz um dos meus desenhos, juntamente com a minha avó, que é esta mala que
eu não me canso de usar, ficou maravilhosa e fica bem com absolutamente tudo, e
uma coisa que muitas pessoas não gostam que eu adoro é ganga com ganga, se
soubermos conjugar fica incrível.

Today I'm going to talk about this brand “PINKO”, but about a specific collection.
Created in 1980 by the couple Pietro Negra and Cristina Rubini, Pinko is known for
having a well-defined and very minimalist identity. This collection I'm going to talk
about was launched in 2021. It's called REIMAGINE
Patrick McDowell, in collaboration with the creative director Caterina Negra of the
Pinko brand, an Italian brand, created this collection, using the brand's archives, that
is, old pieces to create recycled designs, giving new life to previous collections and
reusing a selection of fabrics from denim and taffeta, which is a kind of satin, to
rejuvenate the brand's style.
This collection was inspired by the 2000s, with a nod to the celebration and
optimistic hope of the new millennium, Patrick harks back to the days when social
media was still in its infancy. Smartphones and wearable technology have entered
our daily lives and iconic personalities have gone viral on various media platforms.
That celebration and hope for something new also rings out today as the world
reopens.
Caterina mentions that it is always good to collaborate with Patrick because as soon
as he arrives at the studio, he is a creative machine, where they share ideas,
inspirations and personal artistic visions. And he also says that he has an incredible
ability to transform conversations into magnificent pieces. And that he thinks it's
amazing that he always creates something sustainable in line with the brand's DNA.
I find the bold contrast of jeans with the taffeta that creates volumes incredible, and
the use of strong colors and proportions adorns everything very well. Every stylist's
dream is to see that their clothes go easily with anything.

One of my favorite pieces/fabrics is definitely denim, it's very versatile. That's why
this collection enchanted me so much. I've already made some sketches, to reuse the
jeans I have at home, and soon I'll put them into practice. This skirt consists of
cutting different pieces of denim in different colors and joining them together to
create the skirt, sort of like a puzzle.
I even made one of my designs, together with my grandmother, which is this bag that
I never get tired of using, it looks amazing and goes well with absolutely everything,
and one thing that many people don't like and I love it is denim with denim, if we
know how to combine it, it becomes incredible.
