Simple Future: Will e Going to

Basicamente, WILL se refere a um futuro incerto e GOING TO a algo planejado.

Situao 1

What color are you going to paint your kitchen? (Que cor voc vai pintar sua
cozinha?)

Im going to paint it white. (Vou pint-la de branco.)

Situao 2

What are you going to do after class tonight? (O que voc vai fazer aps a
aula hoje noite?)

Im going to stop by at my uncles house to pick up some books. (Vou passar

na casa do meu tio para pegar alguns livros.)

Para se fazer previses sobre o que vai acontecer.

I think the concert is going to be good. (Acho que o show vai ser bom.)

I think its going to rain. (Acho que vai chover.)

Usa-se WILL: com expresses como I THINK, MAYBE, IM SURE.

I think you will do well on the test. (Acho que voc ir bem na prova.)

Maybe I will go to the movies tonight. (Talvez eu v ao cinema hoje noite.)

Im sure everything will be all right. (Tenho certeza de que tudo ficar bem.)

Para se oferecer a fazer algo.

The phones ringing! (O telefone est tocando.)

Dont worry, Ill get it. (No se preocupe, eu atendo.)

Quando se resolve fazer algo na hora da fala.

Sir, will you have red wine or white wine? (O senhor aceita vinho tinto ou
branco?)

Ill have red wine (eu aceito o vinho tinto.)
