1 Preface

1.1 Available for EK-L series model

1.2 Test Notices:
Please follow the pointed test steps and choose the right test equipment to
conduct adjustment, otherwise good performance of TV set could not be obtained.
Before testing, warm up the TV above 30 minutes to obtain satisfied test result.
Every parameter should be adjusted repeatedly to obtain the best value for the
unit, the pointed voltage value should be guaranteed during testing.
1.3 Factory menu operation: Press MENU button on the remote control, then press
RECALL button five times sequentially to enter into factory menu. In factory
menu, press MENU button to switch FAC1 to FAC9 menu, press TV/AV button to
exit factory menu.

2 Adjustment environment
1) Temperature: 15oC -35oC
2) Relative humidity: 45-75%
3) Air pressure: 86-106KPa
3. Test Equipment (The following equipment should be calibrated correctly.)
1) Oscilloscope
2) Multi-meter (Internal resistance: DC≥20kΩ/V AC≥5kΩ/V)
3) High voltmeter 35kV
4) Ammeter (0.5 grade, at DC 3mA position)
5) Degaussing coil
6) PHILIPS pattern signal generator (PH5820 or FLUKE 54200 or similar type
apparatus)
4 Adjustment items and adjustment operation
4.1 AC power supply check and +B adjustment
4.1.1 Check AC power supply is normal or not (220V, 50Hz and Sine Wave are normal)
4.1.2 Receive Television broadcast signal, set PICTURE to standard mode
4.1.3 Adjust RP950 so that voltages at two ends of C960 are +B, the voltage of +B
please refer to BOM
4.2 High voltage check and filament voltage check
4.2.1 Make sure AC power supply and +B are within pointed range before calibrating
high voltage.
4.2.2 Connect high voltmeter to anode (G4) of CRT.
4.2.3 Turn on the TV set, set the BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST to the minimum, and
switch to AV mode (No any signal applied).
4.2.4 High voltage please refer to the related CRT’s spec.
4.2.5 Filament voltage measured by virtual value meter should be about 6.3 ±
0.2Vrms.
4.3 Grid voltage adjustment
4.3.1 Set PICTURE to standard mode, and switch to AV mode. Input a black signal.

4.3.2 Enter into FAC6 and select VSD, then adjust potentiometer until a horizontal
line can be seen on the screen.

4.3.3 Exit to operation mode, and switch to TV mode.
4.4 FOCUS adjustment
4.4.1 Receive five circles pattern, set PICTURE to standard mode.
4.4.2 Adjust focus potentiometer (horizontal output transformer) so that the
center and Four Corners of pattern are the best focus.
4.5 RF AGC adjustment
4.5.1 Receive VH signal (Channel 7 or channel 10), apply 60dB μ V gray scale
signal(PAL)
4.5.2 Enter FAC7 to select AGCT, then adjust it until picture noise is just
disappeared
4.6 Horizontal scanning, vertical scanning and geometry distortion adjustment
(adjust with PAL and NTSC signal separately)
4.6.1 Receive five circles pattern signal, enter into factory menu to call up
FAC1.
HSH-50 XX H. CEN correction, adjust it so that the left half of
picture is symmetrical with the right half.
4.6.2 Call up FAC2
VSH-50（60） XX Adjust it so that the pattern midline superposes over
CRT geometric center.
VS-50（60） XX Correct it so that the top half of picture is becoming
to the top half of CRT.
VA-50（60） XX Adjust it so that the picture vertical reproduction
display ratio is more than 92%.
SC-50（60） XX Adjust it so that upper pane and the bottom pane of
the pattern are the same as the middle pane.
OSD-V-50（60） XX Adjust the vertical location of OSD.

4.7 White balance adjustment (PAL signal)

Enter into menu firstly and set Color temp to Normal (9300K).
4.7.1 Enter into AV mode and receive left black right white signal which with
color sync signal.
4.7.2 Plug XS805, adjust it automatically with white balance adjustment software,
enter into factory menu when adjustment is OK, then enter into FAC3
menu to check whether the data of standard temperature is the same

4.7.3 Exit to operation mode, and set Color temp to Cold (12000K), then enter into
factory menu FAC3, check whether the data of cold temperature is
the same with the data in computer.
4.7.4 According to 4.7.3, check whether the data of warm temperature is the same
with the data in computer.
Standard：Color temperature 9300K （X=0.284 Y=0.299） FAC3
Cold： Color temperature 12000K（X=0.272 Y=0.279） FAC3
Warm： Color temperature 6500K （X=0.313 Y=0.329） FAC3
