do Autismo.
Palavras-chave: autismo Infantil, cognição Social, Teoria da Mente.
ABSTRACT
Theory of Mind (ToM) is the ability people have to attribute mental states, such as
emotions, thoughts and wishes, to themselves and others, guiding their own behavior from these
attributions. ToM is one of the main cognitive models responsible for social communication
disorders in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Studies have demonstrated the
possibility of training this cognitive ability thus improving social communication behavior
This article aims to evaluate the bibliographical production of studies carried out between
2009 and 2013 related to interventions of ToM in children with ASD. It is in compliance with
FUMEC University system, which requires a concluding scientific article to those finishing the
specialization course in Neuropsychological Evaluation.
The search was centered in the main data bases of Health Sciences, namely MedLine,
Lilacs – Latin and Caribbean American Literature in Health Sciences and SciELO – Scientific
Electronic Library Online, having all the data been indexed until February, 22nd, 2014, based on
the key words Child Autism, Social Cognition and Theory of Mind. Forty- four articles were
2
located in MedLine data base, only one article in Lilacs and none was found in SciELO. After this
first selection, another one was made focusing only articles that presented intervention studies in
Theory of Mind made with children who had been clinically diagnosed with Autism Spectrum
Disorders.
INTRODUÇÃO
1 MÉTODO
2 RESULTADOS
