A respeito do prejuízo funcional nas pessoas com TDAH, Graeff & Vaz
(2008) assinalam que estes não afetam apenas o desempenho acadê-
mico. Assim, cabe ao profissional responsável pelo diagnóstico aten-
tar-se para aspectos sociais, familiares, físicos e da história de vida, rea-
lizando assim uma avaliação mais abrangente. Outro ponto que merece
atenção e avaliação adequada, refere-se aos quadros que podem estar
associados ao TDAH, já que frequentemente existem comorbidades.
Portanto, a necessidade de uma avaliação que contemple múltiplos as-
pectos é primordial e, para que isso ocorra efetivamente, não se pode
prescindir do uso conjunto de instrumentos e técnicas, tais como: entre-
vistas clínicas, uso de escalas, testes psicológicos e neuropsicológicos.

Outro estudo Goodkind e colaboradores (2015) tiveram como objetivo
avaliar as funções executivas utilizando Stroop, Wisconsin e Fluência
Verbal Semântica como preditoras de resposta à TCC em idosos com
Depressão. O WSCT prediz significativamente melhor resposta à TCC,
enquanto o Stroop e a Fluência Verbal Semântica não se mostraram
significativas. O funcionamento executivo novamente mostrou-se um
preditor para melhores desfechos após tratamento com TCC e também
um maior impacto sob a adesão ao tratamento farmacológico no início
do tratamento, apresentando menores taxas de recaídas e recorrência
de depressão.
Reineche e Harmer (2016) em um estudo de revisão demonstraram
que o uso de terapias combinadas, farmacológicas, TCC e estimulação
neurocognitiva podem trazer resultados benéficos aos pacientes com
transtornos de ansiedade. A avaliação neuropsicológica pode ser uti-
lizada para verificar a preservação dos processos atencionais e mne-
mônicos para nortear quais técnicas cognitivas e comportamentais o
paciente pode se beneficiar mais.
