About IBP | Sobre o IBP

Founded in 1957, Brazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP) is a
non-profit, private association of companies and professionals, which today has
approximately 230 member companies and professionals working in all segments of
the petroleum chain, aiming to create a competitive, sustainable, ethic and socially
responsible national industry. For this purpose, IBP performs studies and proposals to
government authorities; organizes events, such as Rio Oil & Gas Expo and Conference,
one the major oil shows in the world; carries out short and post-graduation courses;
edits technical books; and is accredited by the government to elaborate standards
for petroleum derivatives and to certify companys equipment inspection services
(refineries, production facilities and petrochemical plants).

event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration,
production, and environmental protection. OTC is held annually at Reliant Center in
Houston. Each year, OTC attracts more than 100,000 attendees representing more
than 120 countries and 2,500 exhibiting companies.
