A ORDEM DOS ADJETIVOS EM INGLÊS

Observe a tabela abaixo, para entender a ordem em que os adjetivos são colocados numa frase:

 Opinion: indica opinião. Exemplos: horrible, difficult, fun, etc. ...

 Size: indica tamanho. ...
 Age: indica idade. ...
 Shape: indica forma. ...
 Color: indica cor. ...
 Origin: indica a origem. ...
 Religion: indica religião. ...
 Material: indica o tipo de material que é feito.
 Purpode: indica o propósito ou finalidade de seu uso.

 Noun = substantivo.

Em Português quando queremos descrever um objeto apenas usamos os adjetivos depois do substantivo
ou do verbo, sendo:

A mesa é clara e grande. Ou: A mesa clara e grande está ali.

Em inglês isso também ocorre, pode vir depois do verbo to be conjugado ou ANTES do substantivo,
sendo:

This girl is beautiful and tall. Ou: The beautiful and tall girl is here.

Agora é importante saber diferenciar adjetivo de substantivo.

Adjetivo é o nome de descreve, dar qualidades, define um nome.

Substantivo: tudo que se pode dar nome, aquilo que se tem.

 Como visto acima, em inglês o substantivo aparece no final, ou seja, primeiro se descreve para depois
dizer o que é, exemplo:

Cody is a very nice blond girl. – Cody é uma muito legal loira garota. – Nessa ordem, mas ai nós
traduzimos como falaríamos em português: Cody é uma garota muito legal e loira. – Veja que o
substantivo no português é colocado antes do adjetivo, enquanto no inglês ocorre o contrário.
