improvável que algo aconteça:

Depende do que você quer dizer. Em geral, "hold your
horses" é usado para dizer "calma", "espera" - uma
 (HTTPS://WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM/EFENGLISHLIVEBRASIL/)
expressão para deter a pessoa de uma açãoem (HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/C/EFENGLISHLIVEBRASIL/)
curso
ou que está para começar. Já "pode tirar seu cavalinho
 (HTTPS://PLUS.GOOGLE.COM/+EFENGLISHLIVEBRASIL/)
da chuva", em geral, é usado para dizer "tire essa ideia
da cabeça", "nem vem que não tem" ou "não vai rolar",
 certo? Por isso, acreditamos que haja maior
equivalência com "Don't hold your breath".

Knowing about theses expressions will be very useful. I just 
don't know if i'll get to remember that when i need!.. lol ...
But,at least if someone use it with me i'll know what it
means. ...Perguntas: Usei o someone certo,ou eu deveria ter
usado "anyone"? Outra: Usei it e that correto ou eu deveria ter
usado o this? Vocês tem algum artigo que explique sobre
esse assunto (quando usar this,that ou it)? Obrigado e

Olá, Gil, que bom que você achou as expressões úteis.
Com exceção do "I" (eu em inglês) estar em letra
 (HTTPS://PLUS.GOOGLE.COM/+EFENGLISHLIVEBRASIL/)
minúscula (precisa ser sempre maiúscula quando usá-lo,
mesmo
 no meio da frase), o resto está certinho, parabéns!
Temos um artigo sobre o uso de "this" e "that", mas sem o
"it". "it" cumpre função ou de sujeito ou de objeto,
substituindo um substantivo que não seja uma pessoa.
"This" e "that" são pronomes demonstrativos
(esse/essa/isso e aquele/aquela/aquilo). E você usou
todos perfeitamente =)

Venho estudando inglês a um bom tempo por meio da

leitura, pois acredito que seja um metodo mais rápido e
eficaz de aprender um idioma, porém me perco quando
aparece expressões idiomáticas no contexto. Em vista disso,
você teria alguma dica para identificar o que é expressão
idiomatica e o que não é? onde ela se inicia e onde ela
termina?

Oi, Diego,
Identificar uma expressão idiomática nova é uma questão um
pouco complexa que requer atenção. Nossa dica é: desconfie do 
que não fizer sentido direto. Por exemplo:
That painting is not the original one. Fake pieces like that one are
a dime a dozen.

Quando você lê a frase, entende que uma dúzia de quadros, ainda

que sejam falsificados, não pode custar "a dime" (dez centavos),
certo? Tem algo deslocado no sentido da frase. É nesse sentido

deslocado, na falta de sentido direto, que você começa a
identificar um "idiom".

encontra "a dime a dozen" e descobre que se trata de uma
expressão
