Formação
• Afirmativa: Verbos regulares acrescenta -ED, Verbos irregulares não tem padrão de
formação
• Negativa: Didn’t + verbo normal (i didn’t like it – não conjuga o verbo)
• Interrogativa: Did + sujeito + verbo (did she like it? – não conjuga verbo)
Formação
• Afirmativa: Sujeito + Was/Were + Verbo no gerúndio (-ing) (she was doing something)
• Negativa: Sujeito + was not (wasn’t)/were not (weren’t) + verbo no gerúndio (-ing)
• Interrogativa: Was/Were + sujeito + verbo no gerúndio (-ing) (was she doing
something?)
Ex: I had already cleaned the house when my mother arrived. (Eu já tinha limpado a casa
quando minha mãe chegou.)
Formação
• Afirmativa: Sujeito + had + verbo no past participle (-ed) ( You had changed your
clothes before the end of the party.)
• Negativa: Sujeito + had not (hadn’t) + verbo o past participle (-ed)
• Interrogativa: Had + sujeito + verbo no past participle (-ed) (Had you changed your
clothes before the end of the party?)
Formação
• Afirmativa: Sujeito + had + been + verbo no gerúndio (-ing) (Julia had been studying
english for five weeks.)
• Negativa: Sujeito + had not (hadn’t) + been + verbo no gerúndio (-ing)
• Interrogativa: Had + Sujeito + been + verbo gerundio (-ing) (Had Julia been studying
english for five weeks?)
PRESENTE
Simple present: indica ações habituais que ocorrem no presente, verdades universais,
sentimentos, desejos, opiniões e preferências.
Formação
• Afirmativa: usa verbo no infinitivo sem o “to” no caso dos pronomes “I, you, we e
They”, e acrescentar “-s, -es ou -ies” no caso dos pronomes “he, she e it”. (i, you, we,
They work/ he, she, it works)
• Negativa: sujeito + don’t (i, you, we, They)/doesn’t(he, she, it) + verbo
• Interrogativa: do (i, you, we, They)/does (he, she, it) + sujeito + verbo (do i, you, we,
They work?/does he, she, it work?)
Present continuous: usado para indicar ações que estão em progresso no presente; no
momento da fala.
Formação
Present perfect: expressa ações influenciadas pelo presente, ou seja, essas ações ainda estão
acontecendo ou foram concluídas recentemente. O Present Perfect pode ser usado para indicar
ações que começaram no passado e se prolongam até o presente.

• Afirmativa: Sujeito + have + verbo particípio passado (-ed) (My parents have visited
Portugal three times)
• Negativa: Sujeito + have not (haven’t) + verbo particípio passado (-ed)
• Interrogativa: have + Sujeito + verdo partiipio passado (-ed) (Have my parents visited
Portugal three times?)
Present perfect continuous: expressa ações contínuas desde o passado até o presente, ou seja,
ele indica ações que ainda estão inacabadas e que terminaram há pouco tempo.
Formação
• Afirmativa: Sujeito + have/has + been + verbo gerundio (-ing) (He has been working all
day.)
• Negativa: Sujeito + have not (haven’t)/has not (hasn’t) + been + verbo gerundio (-ing)
• Interrogativa: have/has+ sujeito + been + verbo gerúndio (-ing) (Has he been working
all day?)
FUTURO
Simple Future: usado para expressar ações futuras que irão ocorrer, ou seja, que ainda não
aconteceram.
Formação
Com “will” (Geralmente, usamos o will para indicar uma ideia de futuro que pode expressar
incerteza ou ser decidida no momento da fala.)
• Afirmativa: Sujeito + will + verbo infinitivo (They will buy a new house.)
• Negativa: Sujeito + will not (won’t) + verbo infinitivo (They won’t buy a new house.)
• Interrogativa: Will + sujeito + verbo infinitivo (Will hey buy a new house?)
Com “Going to” (Usamos o futuro com going to para indicar uma ação futura que já está
planejada e que com certeza irá acontecer em um futuro próximo.)
Future Continuous: indicar ações que estarão ocorrendo no futuro. Ou seja, ele descreve um
fato que acontecerá num momento específico no futuro.

• Afirmativa: Sujeito + will be + verbo gerundio (-ing) (You will be reading in the library.)
• Negativa: Sujeito + will + not + be + verbo gerundio (-ing) (You will not (won’t) be
reading in the library.)
• Interrogativa: Will + sujeito + be + verbo gerúndio (-ing) (Will you be reading in the
library?)
Future Perfect: indicar ações futuras que estarão concluídas em um determinado tempo no
futuro.

• Afirmativa: Sujeito + will have + verbo particípio passado (-ed) (I will have read the
book by the end of the week.) (Aqui read é read no passado)
• Negativa: Sujeito + will + not + have + verbo particípio passado (-ed) ((I will not (won’t)
have read the book by the end of the week.) (Aqui read é read no passado)
• Interrogativa: Will + Sujeito + have + verbo particípio passado (-ed) (Will I have read
the book by the end of the week?)
Formação
• Afirmativa: Sujeito + will have + been + verbo gerúndio (-ing) (I will have been running
for two hours.) (Eu tenho estado correndo por duas horas.)
• Negativa: Sujeito + will + not + have + been + verbo gerúndio (-ing) (I will not (won’t)
have been running for two hours.) (Eu não tenho estado correndo por duas horas.)
• Interrogativa: Will + sujeito + have + been + verbo gerúndio (-ing) (Will I have been
running for two hours?) (Eu tenho estado correndo por duas horas?)
